Sarah opens her eyes when she feels the familiarity about the embrace she's in. Kal had caught her. Freedom grips his neck, her eyes going back an forth between the singularity and Kal.
Superman struggles to escape the gravitational pull of the singularity, his skin pulls upward, Sarah sees this and grows concerned. She closes her eyes, teleporting herself and Kal far away from the singularity.
Steve, Perry, Jenna, Colonel Hardy, Doctor Hamilton and Lois slowly emerge from behind some rubble watching Superman as he lowers Freedom toward the desolated clearing.
"Are they gone?" Jenna questions.
Perry nods his head, "I think so," He replies.
"They saved us,
When they stare into each others Superman sees her dry tears, "You were crying?" he questions.
"Yeah," her eyes lands on the fallen soldier she teleported off the C-17, She couldn't bare to led his body fall victim to the fantom zone, that's eternity with no peace. Superman followers her gaze, "I knew a version him, he was my friend," She explained, "-I couldn't save him," She trails on.
Kal places his hands securely on her shoulders, "I Understand,"
A sound interrupts their sympathetic moment. Superman parts ways with Freedom, Levitating towards the Noise of falling debris. It came from the scout ship. Superman catches sight of zod on his hands and knees, Lifting the ashes that once was the scout ship.
"Look at this," He shows Kal-El the ashes.
The remains of the ship slips through his fingers, "We could have built a new Krypton in this squalor... But you chose the humans over us," Zod's eyes glints towards Sarah.
"I exist, to serve Krypton. That is the sole purpose for which I was born,' His face now filled with anger, "And every action I take, no matter how violent or how cruel Is for the greater good, of my People-" Zod spits.
General Zod clenches his fists, "-And Now. I have no people...my soul, That is what you taken from me," He says closing the distance with Superman, in a swift motion he slams his shoulder into Superman.
Lois gasps.
"I'm going to take them all from you Kal. These human's you've adopted, I'm going take them all from you, one. by. one," Zod declares.
Seeing that Kal was still dazed, Sarah teleports in front of him protectively.
"Starting with you. Sarah Rogers,"
General Zod flies her into the closest building, She slides on the shards of glass, for the most part her Vibranium suit protected from it.
Kal zooms passed General Zod to get to Freedom, "I'm fine," She says getting to her feet.
Superman ears perked up towards the ceiling, "There are people trapped in this building,"
Freedom nods in understanding, "I'll Get them safety," were her last words before she teleported away.
In freedom's absence, Zod's eyes Began glowing. Zod unleashed the crimson beams towards the ceiling. Sarah now a few floors above, was barely able to dodge it,
"Sir?" Freedom questions spotting a lone man, mumbling to himself.
The man turns, looking Sarah up and down, "Who are you?"
Sarah smiles and says, "Freedom,"
Before the building collapsed Sarah teleported the man outside, He was the last of the civilians in the Wayne Building. The dust from the debris invaded the mans lungs, "Sir, are you okay?" Freedom questions placing a hand against his back, "Yeah," Cough. "Enough with the sir," cough. my name is-"
