Aria POV:
I woke up by the sound of something loudly falling to the ground. I gasped and lifted up my head. I removed the covers from my body and jumped off of the bed. I ran to my door, swinging it open and ran down along the hall and the staircase. Once I made it to the kitchen I saw my mom picking up pots that were all over the ground.
I let out a sigh of relief. Ever since I found out what Justin's secret was, I couldn't stay calm the whole entire weekend. I wake up at the middle of the night every night. I can't sometimes think straight as well.
As I was about to walk back up the stairs, to change and get ready for school, my mother called out to me. "Aria, what are you doing down here? You need to get ready for school."
I turned around, I saw her staring at me with her eyebrow raised. I shrugged. "I heard a loud noise and I went down to see what it was." I told half of the truth. I was also wondering if it was Justin.
She just gave me a questioning look. "I was cleaning the cupboards and all of the pot fell out." She explained to me.
"Oh, okay." I forced a smile on my face. "I will, um, get ready." I pointed my thumb towards the stairs.
"Go do that. I don't want you to be late." She smiled back at me. I nodded my head, turned around by my heels and jogged back up the stairs. I walked back inside my room, closing the door behind me. I closed my eyes and sighed.
Am I going to see Justin at school today?
No, he must of left, like he said.
I leaned away from the door and took two huge steps towards my closet. I took out jeans , a sweatshirt, and black flats. I slipped off of my pajamas, tossing them into the dirty clothes basket. I changed into my chosen outfit, carefully looking myself at the mirror. I looked so unnoticeable. I don't look like my usual self. I look like a living corpse.
When I slipped on my arm into the last arm hole, I gathered all my hair and brushed them back using my shaking fingers. I twisted my hair and wrapped it around. I tied a rubber band around my bun. I pulled out some small pieces of hair from the sides of my head. I walked into my bathroom and grabbed my pink toothbrush. I squirted toothpaste on it and brushed my teeth. When I finished I splashed cold water on my face, trying to wake myself up. I stride out of the bathroom and I grabbed my bags and keys and headed out of my room.
I jogged down the stairs and speed walked towards the front door. "Aria, aren't you going to eat?" My mom called out. I stopped, my hand on the handle.
I cleared my throat. "Um, no. Im not hungry." I replied.
"Are you sure?" She asked.
"I'm sure." I called back.
"Alright, have a good day at school."
"Yeah..." I muttered. I opened the door, stepped out and slammed the door behind me. The sky looked dark and there was a heavy fog covering the ground. I strolled over towards my car, pulling the door open. I placed my foot I died then my whole body. I searched for my eyes from my purse and pulled them out. I shoved them into the ignition and started the car.
I backed out of the driveway and raced along the road. I gripped tightly on the stirring wheel, focusing along the barely visible road. I took the last turn towards the road that the school is located. I twisted the stirring wheel to the left, driving up to the student parking lot.
I drove around the parking lot, looking for an open space. I noticed that none of the spaces were free up front so I parked at the very back. There were barely any students outside, which means that class is staring soon. I turned off the car, leaving the keys on the ignition and sat there, thinking. About Justin.
