Just Friends

Today was any ordinary day. Getting up, getting dressed and headed off to work but before I made my way to work I stopped by my local coffee shop to get my daily fix of a laté.

As I was still early for work I decided to stay in the coffee shop to drink and eat my normal everyday breakfast which consists of the laté and a blueberry muffin. As I was busy scrolling through my social media my phone notified me I had a text from Zak.

Zak: "Hey Y/N hope you have a great day at work 💕 if you're not busy later come over to mine, me and the guys are having a get together xxxx"

As I read the text from Zak I couldn't help but blush. I have to admit from time to time I still find it strange that my best friends are the Ghost Adventures crew. They have helped me through so much I'm forever grateful for them and everything they have done for me.

But as a very close group of friends there's something I'm hiding from them.... Well only one to be exact, which is Zak. For a while now I've been having really strong feelings for him, more than just friends feelings.

I have no idea how he feels about me, but all I do know is that me and Zak have our moments where we're more than just friends, to be honest we've had them alot more lately.

We don't act like we're together or anything and the little moments we have consists of sending messages with lots of kisses and love Herat emojis. Sometimes when we're seeing each other especially if we're on the couch watching movies with the other guys Zak would wrap his arms around me and hold me.

Y/N: "Hey Zak, thanks I will. I'm not busy later.. I'll be there 😁 xx"

Zak: "Great 😁, can't wait to see you. I haven't seen you for a while xxxx"

After Zak sent that text I smiled and laughed a little.

Y/N: "you saw me yesterday lol xxx 😂💕"

Zak: "You should know me by now Y/N, I need to see you everyday xxxx"

Y/N: "Lol. I do know you very well... And I know you can go without seeing me for at least 1 day xxxx"

Zak: "OK you win 😂 but seriously me and the guys need to see you more often 💕 xxxx"

Y/N: "I know and I apologise for not spending time with you guys lately. I've been busy with work 😔 xxx"

Zak: "apology accepted 💕 why don't you just quit your job, as you said yesterday you hate working there anyway xxxx"

Y/N: "but I need this job to keep a roof over my head and food stocked in the cupboards, I can't just quit without a plan xxx"

Zak: "Y/N you don't need to worry about any of that I can help you. You know I'd do anything to help you 💕💕 xxxx"

Y/N: "I know you will Zak and I'm forever grateful for everything you and the guys do for me xxxx 💕"

After I sent Zak the text my boss called me to see where I was.

Boss: "Y/N.. Where are you?"

Y/N: "I'm on my way now"

Boss: "good, on your way can you get me a large cappacino with extra foam, then get yourself to work as quick as you can"

Y/N: "OK, I'll be as quick as I can"

Boss: "great.. Don't mess around"

Before I can say anything else my boss ended the call.

As I got up and waited in the line to get my boss's coffee I texted Zak again.

Y/N: "I've gotta go, my boss is being a ass already and I haven't even arrived got there yet 😔 xxxx"

Zak: "I'll miss talking to you 😔 but seriously baby if you was working with me I wouldn't treat you like that 💕 come and work with me in the museum xxxx"

Y/N: "I might just take on your offer, I shouldn't be working or treated like this xxx"

Zak: "No you shouldn't, you can do so much better. Try and have a good day at work, I'll cheer you up later xxxx 💕💕"

Y/N: "thank you and I'll try. Can't wait to see you later xxx ❤️"

Zak: "see you later baby ❤️ xxxx"

I put my phone away, grabbed my boss's coffee and made my way to work. What I do for work most people would love it. I used to love it but ever since my work friend Megan took over after being promoted she has become a right bitch.

Me and Megan used to get on great and we always had a good laugh and joke, and from time to time gossip, but as I just said since she's been promoted she's not the same anymore.

I work in one of the top beauty spa and salons here in Las Vegas, we're so top we have even won awards for our business. As I said before I used to love working here but now I hate it. I walked inside and prepared myself for the rest of the day.

Megan (boss): "Oh Y/N thank god you're finally here"

Megan grabbed her cappacino from me and took a huge gulp of it before she started talking to me.

Megan (boss) : "thank you for grabbing me this you're a life saver"

Y/N: "that's OK, what do you want me to do today?"

Megan (boss): "to start with can you manage the phone and take in any appointments, then after lunch can you cover for Sophie with the massage parlour"

Y/N: "OK"

Megan (boss): "great"

I quickly went to the staff room to put my belongings away in my locker and got changed into my uniform. After I was done I quickly texted Zak.

Y/N: "send Help! My boss wants me to cover for Sophie this afternoon in the massage parlour, the poor people will feel like their being toutured for information by me if I don't stop feeling like this. Lol xxx"

Zak: "lol you'll be fine baby 💕 how about I book an appointment with you later and come in lol 😉. I know you won't touture me xxxx"

Y/N: "NO seriously I won't even book for myself 😂😂 say goodbye to sore muscles.... More like goodbye muscles regardless if they was sore or not xxx"

Zak: "😂 it's that bad huh? Xxxx"

Y/N: "you know me I'm normally gentle, but because of how my boss treats me I'm everything but gentle 😂 xxx"

Zak: "I'll come and see you this afternoon. How you getting home later? Xxxx"

Y/N: "I'll be walking or getting a cab xxxx"

Zak: "NO way in hell. I'll pick you up and take you to mine. You're not going anywhere on your own xxxx"

Y/N: "Zak I walked here on my own today xxx"

Zak: "yeah during the day and you don't live too far from your work, by the time she'll have you finishing it'll be getting dark xxxx"

Y/N: "Zak it's ok, I'll be fine getting a cab to yours xxx"

Zak: "I'm not letting you take that risk. I'll pick you up xx"

Y/N: "OK xxxx"

As I was putting my phone into my locker I can tell something wasn't right with Zak, he was all happy before I got to work. Now he seems very agitated. I hope I didn't do or say anything to upset him.

I locked my locker up, made sure I looked presentable and made my way to the reception desk to start my day.
