There once was a element called Strontium, her friends call her Sr for short. She lives in a family of 6 elements. She has two older sisters and one little brother. The oldest sister’s name is Magnesium, but her friends call her Mg for short. The second to oldest is called Calcium, and her nickname is Ca. Finally, the little brother is called Barium, but Sr calls him Ba for short. She has two caring parents. Her mom’s name is Radium(Ra), and her dad’s is Beryllium. Their family is known as the Alkaline Earth Metals.
Ever since she was little her parents would always told her that she shouldn’t be around water, it was dangerous. Strontium was born during Spring, when it rains a lot. So almost every time when it’s her birthday she would have to stay inside and not go out. And that was a problem because Sr was the type of element who would like to be outside and explore.
It was the first day of freshman year, Sr was going to her locker. As she was getting her stuff for her classes someone snuck up on her. “ Hello!!” yelled Mg. Sr got scared and yelled. “ YOU SCARED ME!” said Sr. Magnesium started to laugh. “ Well I’m sorry!” said Mg with a sarcastic tone. “ So are you ready fore your first day of high school?” asked Mg. “ Yea I guess…” replied Sr. Then the bell rings. “Well there’s the bell. I’ll see you home.” said Mg.” Wait home? “ asked Sr. “ Yea . I have after school today.. Maybe even the whole month. We are working on a final project.” explained Mg. “ Right.. I forgot…” Sr said. “ Yea .. Well I’ll see you.” said Mg. “Okay bye.” said Sr. “ Bye “ said Mg. Then Mg runs to her class and so does Sr.
School already ended, and Sr started to walk alone to home. As she was she passed by the beach. As she was she just looked and the waves. She was thinking of going there but then she remembered what her parents told her, so she just kept on walking. In her walk she probably passed like 2~3 beaches. They all looked so beautiful, but none of the other ones could be as beautiful as the first one she was on her way home. The waves where so big and the sand looked so beautiful with the shells on top of it. It just seemed peaceful.
She finally got home. When she did she went straight to her room and laid on her bed. Just thinking about that one beach, and how nice it would be like to be in it… to be in the water. She probably laid there for a good 30 minutes, but then she had to come back to reality. Once she did, she started on her homework, and as she was doing it she kept on thinking about the beach.
That day she dreamed about being in the beach. She dreamed that she was just sitting on the sand just looking at the waves and the sunset. Then she stood up. She stand there for a god minute or two then she began to walk towards the water. She felt her heart beating faster and faster as she got closer to the water. Then she stopped, she stopped where the water would almost touch her feet. Then she closed her eyes, took a deep breath, then opened her eyes. The sun was gone, it was dark. Then took one step forward and when the water was about to touch her foot she woke up.
When she woke up she got dresses and then she left with her sister Mg to school. Sr was daydreaming about the beach… about her dream. “ HELLO?! Anyone there?” said Mg . “ Huh? Oh um .. Yea.. Sorry . What were you saying?” asked Sr. “ I was telling you about my project… Is everything okay? I mean you seem off today.. Did something happened?” questioned Mg. “No… nothing happened..” said Sr. “ Then why are you acting like this. You usually don’t act like this unless something is wrong. Or your questioning something,” said Mg “What’s wrong?” “ Um…” said Sr. She was about to tell her but then she heard the bell. “ Oh! There goes the bell! we got to go or we’re going to be late!” said Sr. Then she started to run to her class. “ Wait ! Sr!… ugh… “ Mg said Mg. But then she started to run to her class. Sr has been trying to avoid Mg as much as she can. She wasn’t sure if she should tell her or not, so she decided not to tell her.
Once school ended Sr ran home. She didn’t wanted to run into Mg. That day she didn’t talk to anyone. She was just locked in her room for the whole day. Mg tried to talk to her but Sr would either tell her that she was going to take a nap or that she had a lot of homework that she had to do.
Next day Mg confronted Sr. “Okay . Now no more running away!” said Mg. “ What are you talking about?” asked Sr when she clearly knew what she was talking about. “You know what I’m talking about!” said Mg. “No I don’t..” said Sr. “Come on Sr! I tell you EVERYTHING! Why don’t you want to tel me this one thing?” questioned Mg. “Because…” stuttered Sr. “Because??” said Mg eagerly. “ Because…. I don’t know…I promise I will tell you.. But..” said Sr “ But?….” said Mg “Not now… I need some time.” said Sr “…Okay… But you promise you would tell me?..” Questioned Mg “Cross my heart!” Promised Sr. “Okay. Just Making sure,” said Mg then they both start to laugh. “Come on lets go.” said Mg. They walk inside the school and go their separate ways.
It’s the next day already, School just ended. Sr start to walk towards home. Today when she passed the beach she actually went in it. She walk in and then she sat on the sand just watching the waves. Then She started to play in the sand. After a hour in the beach she went home.
When she got home she saw that the ambulance was in front of her house. She ran towards her house and when she got to the door she saw Mg on the cart. “Mom! Mom! What happened to Magnesium!!?” said Sr in a worried tone. “I don’t know.. She came home like that… once she stepped inside she collapsed…” said Ra. Sr started to cry then she ran after the ambulance. “ I want to go with her..” Sr said. “I’m sorry your dad is already going to come and only one came come in the ambulance.” said the nurse. “Dad please let me go!...please..” begged Sr “Why don’t you stay with your mother…” said the Be. “No! I want to go with Magnesium!” yelled Sr while crying. “I’m sorry sweaty….” said Be. Then When she said that they closed the door and drove off. “NO!” yelled Sr. As they drove away she ran right behind it but then after 10 blocks she stopped . Then she walked back home.
Once she got there about a hour or two later Ba, Ca, Ra, and Sr went to The Hospital of Elements. Once they got there they where all just there sitting down .. Waiting for Mg to wake up. After 30 minutes she finally did. And then one by one they had their alone time with her. Of course Sr was the last one. When they had their alone time Sr told Mg about the whole beach situation. She kept her promise… and that meant a lot to Mg. They where talking about the good memories and then at the end Mg told Sr, “ Tell everyone that I love them….” When she told her that Sr just nodded and she started to tear and when she did she hear a BEEEEEEEEEP…. “ Mg?!! SOMEONE PLEASE HELLP!!! No please !! Don’t leave me!!” yelled Sr. Then the doctors came and took Sr out of the room. One hour later Mg was announced dead. Everyone started to cry… especially Sr.
The next day Sr woke up at 3 in the morning. She got up got dressed , she wore the dress that Mg gave her in her birthday last month , and then she left to the beach. Once she got there she laid on the sand, just like on her dream. Then she got up and walked towards the water. She stopped exactly where she stopped on her dream. She closed her eyes and when she did the first thing she saw was her sister Mg, she took a deep breath and then she walked in the water. She felt her feet burning but she didn’t care she kept on walking in deeper and deeper until she couldn’t touch the floor. Then she was just floating. When she was floating she was slowly sinking under the water and burning. Then she disappeared. The next day her parents threw a search party for Sr. After 20 years they gave up. And she was never seen again.
