Entry No. 31

The only role I play is the tech genius. That's it. I wasn't born with superhuman abilities. I never had powers suddenly surge through me when I needed help. I never discovered that I come from a powerful civilization filled with 'magic'.

And honestly? I'm jealous. Me, Scarlett Stark, a rich kid who got all that I wanted, never got superpowers of my own. It stung.

I mean, I'm mostly over it. I've been a part of a superhero team for nearly three years. I've met a lot of people, and our team has expanded to a large roster. I'd say that in terms of firepower, it's possible we could hold our own against the Avengers. For maybe ten minutes.

We've grown to become a close team. I never thought this could be a possibility. Not for me. They're part of my family; I'd do anything to keep them together.

Zero's on his way now, so I have to put this notebook away. No, it's not a diary - I don't keep diaries.

- Scarlett Marie Stark

Zero hopped through the open window, dusting off a lint from his shoulder. His black and blue suit shone in the midday sun, bringing out a warmth to his face. He grinned boyishly as he pulled his mask off. "How does lint manage to stay on a spandex suit? It's not even from the suit!"

I couldn't help the smile that came to my face. He's always had this air about him. It's part of why he's so good at being Spider-Man.

"Even your suit must be sticky," I answered with a shrug. I stood from my bed, lightly touching the red covers as I pushed the notebook further under the bed with my heel. Zero, ever the observant one, raised his eyebrows and touched a hand to his chin.

"Miss Stark, are you hiding something under the bed?"

I cleared my throat, shaking my head as I stepped away from my hidden not-diary. "No. Why would you think that?"

He eyed me before lunging past me and darting a hand under the bed. I grabbed his foot, dug my heels into the carpet and pulled to no avail. He gave a small victory 'aha!' and pulled out the notebook. I jumped to try and grab it as he twisted away from me, leaping onto my high ceiling in true Spider-Man fashion.

"What's this, my darling?" He dangled the book over my head, turning it over to see the cover. "Is this supposed to read, 'my secret diary'?"

"Zero! Don't you dare open that!" I hopped onto my bed, jumping up to try and steal it back from him. I was hilariously far away from him.

He mused over the first page, sitting as if it was the ground and not the ceiling that he was on. "Uh oh, Pep. What's this?"

"Zero Parker-!"

"'Today Sam and I went to get ice cream'," he reads in a mockingly high tone of what I could only assume to be my voice. "'Of course, I was recognized by the staff and customers and suddenly everyone was'..." He trailed off, furrowing his brow. "Are you serious. Asking for autographs in an ice cream shop? How desperate can people get?"

"Zero," I called up, plopping into a crossed leg position. Raising my hand, I aimed the device that sat on my arm at him. "I'll shock you. Drop the book."

"You mean diary!" He sang out, no fear whatsoever of being shocked. "OooOooh, the latest entry. Let's see..." He went quiet again, while I cringed underneath him. Slowly he twisted around, dropping onto the floor beside me. I took the diary- I mean, book- from him, setting it in my lap as he sat beside me. He put an arm over my shoulders, pulling me close. "Hey, you know one of the best things about you?"
