Percy POV

"Why did Ms Green assign so much homework?" I groan as we leave school.

Jason laughs. "You should see the essay Mr Woods wants."

Annabeth rolls her eyes. "We got the assignment two weeks ago."

"Perseus Jackson." I turn, hand already going to Riptide. Two men and a woman stand behind us. Another two women and a man move in front of us. Maybe not men. Maybe monsters.

"Perseus, we're with SHIELD. We need to ask you and your friends some questions." A woman says. She has short brown hair and light skin.

"Questions about what? I have a lot of homework." I reply.

"About what happened in Europe." The Asian woman behind her says. Brown Hair nods. I exchange a glance with Annabeth. Do they know about camp?

I sigh. "I wish I could, but, like I said, school is very murderous right now. Maybe next week?"

"Coulson says to bring them in." says the woman behind us. She's blonde.

"Ok. There are two ways we can do this." Brown Hair says.

"Let me guess, is one of them the easy way?" Leo asks.

"Come quietly, or don't."  The Asian woman says.

I glance at Annabeth. She nods. I pull out Riptide, and uncap it. "Ok, where did that pole just come from?" The man behind Brown Hair says. He has a British accent.

      "They're mortals?" Jason whispers.

"I guess so." I reply. They pull out guns.

"Jackson, drop the weapon." Blonde says.

Guns. A demigods weakness. A foul play, in my opinion. No amount of skill lets you dodge a bullet. And no amount of Ambrosia heals a heart torn by it.

I drop Riptide, glad that it will come back into my pocket. But when Blonde moves forward with handcuffs, I fight back. Soon, all seven of us are fighting, punching, kicking, ducking. But it's seven teens with daggers versus six adults with guns.

      We're all shot.

It could always be worse. At least this is only a sedative.
