It was a twelve hour drive plus three more when I stopped at a hotel. But I was finally in Tennessee, my spirits were high, I finally arrived at the house it was about 1:45. I stepped out of the car and looked at the house. Someone stepped out of the house and walked over to say hello.
"Hello." They said.
"Hello." I said back happily.
"So... you want to buy our house?" They began.
"Yes, my boyfriend and I are tired of living out in Kansas and want to get a fresh start out here." I told them.
"Oh. Kansas? That's a long drive."
"Ya.... twelve hours but im here, and I'd love to buy this house from you!"
"Well, we'd love for you to buy it." They said laughing.
They gave me a tour of the house. It was more amazing in person! At the end of the long tour we stepped outside in the nice cool air.
"So, you still wish to buy it?" They asked me.
"I would love to!" I exclaimed.
"Its perfect."
I gave them the money and they told me to come back in about twenty days and they would all be moved out. I drove all the way home, not stopping for anything except by the gas stations when I needed one. I was home and I unlocked the door stepping inside.
"Drake," I called.
He stepped out from inside the kitchen and hugged me, I hugged him back.
"I missed you!" He told me.
"I missed you too!"
"But this time.... we will be traveling together, I bought the house." I told him happily.
He walked over and sat on the couch pulling out the computer and got on the internet. I walked over to him.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Putting the house up for sale." He told me still focused on the computer. He closed the computer top and set it down.
"There, all done. Now we wait." He told me.
Three days later, I got a call from an unknown number, I answered,
"Hello?" I asked yawning.
"Uh, hi. I was wondering... is the house still for sale? Im interested in buying it." They told me.
"Yes, could you come today?"
"Today is perfect!" They exclaimed.
I hung up after she said goodbye and ran into the bedroom. Drake opened his eyes startled when I ran into the room, he relaxed when I saw it was just me.
"Someone is coming to look at the house..... TODAY! I said excitedly. The house was spotless from cleaning it the day before. It had been four hours since I received the call and at last I heard someone knock on the door. I walked over and opened the door, a woman was standing there smiling. We said our hello's and I gave her the tour just like when I had been in Tennessee.
"That's it. Do you still want to buy it?" I asked her.
"Yes I would." She answered back.
She handed me the money in cash and walked back to her car and drove away. We had twenty days to leave.
After about 19 days of getting everything out of the house, we waiting for them to come and get the keys. They arrived a moment later I handed them the keys and said goodbye. Drake and I stepped into the car and started driving to Tennessee.
