Nothing Special (Stereo Kicks/Reece Bibby/New Hope Club)

Saturday

Today was the day. Today was Saturday meaning that today was the start of week 8 of the live shows on X Factor. I was really excited for today, actually excited was an understatement, but I was also really nervous as someone had to go home tomorrow and I didn't want anyone to leave, especially Stereo Kicks and Lauren.

I woke up and quickly checked the time, it was 10.30am. I had a lie-in today because I didn't need to go to see everyone rehearse because me and Tia are going to the studios at 3.00pm to have our Hair and Make-up done by the professionals.

I went downstairs and walked into the kitchen to make some breakfast. "Morning sleepy head." Tia said, making me jump. "Morning." I said, still recovering from her presence. "Everyone's already gone to the studios." Tia stated. "Ok, I'm really excited." I smiled. "Me too, do you want a cup of tea?" Tia asked. "Erm...yes please." I said, deciding that tea and toast sounded good. "How does 'A lazy onsie until 3.00pm' day sound at the moment?" Tia suggested. "It sounds great at the moment." I giggled. "Ok, what film do you want to watch?" Tia asked. "I think we should watch Frozen." I smirked. "Ok, I'll get it ready." Tia smiled, walking out of the kitchen and into the living room to get the film ready.

I finished off my tea and toast and walked into the livning room, sitting on the sofa with Tia as we watched frozen, I felt like I was 7 again. After singing 'Let it go' and 'Do you wanna build a snowman' me and Tia both had lunch before going upstairs to get ready to go to the studios. I pulled on some skinny jeans, a jumper, some ugg boots and put my hair into a messy bun; after all I was having it professionally styled later on and thats why I didn't put any make-up on either. I grabbed my phone and put it into my bag as I walked downstairs. "Ready?" I asked Tia. "Yep, Let's go!" Tia screamed, enthusiastically. We opened the front door before shutting it, walking to the taxi and getting inside the car.

The journey only lasted 10 minutes and before we knew it, we were outside the studios. I got out of the car, saying thank you to the driver and walking towards the door with Tia following behind me. "I'm really nervous, is it just me?" I asked. "No it's not just you, I'm nervous too." Tia giggled. We walked inside and said hello to Fleur, Ben, Andrea, Lauren and last but not least Stereo Kicks as they did their final rehearsals before going to get ready for tonights show. Me and Tia then walked to the Hair department, to start getting ready. Tia was having her hair half up and half down and all straight and I was having my hair softly curled.

Once our hair was done, we thanked Jamie (the lead hair stylist backstage) and his team and went straight onto makeup. Tia was having her make-up with the smokey eye effect. She had foundation, concealer, blusher, a smokey brown eye shadow with mascara and a light pink lipstick where as I had a natural look but yet it was still quite effective. I had foundation, concealer, blusher, a natural shade of eyeshadow, liquid eyeliner, mascara and a pinky red lipstick. After then thanking the make-up team, we went onto the wardrobe department. We picked our dresses and made sure that we looked presentable before taking them off again so we could put them back on later as it was only 6pm.

Me and Tia stayed in a room next to the wardrobe department so no-one could see us with our make-up and hair done until we had our outfits on. After we talked about pointless things, me and Tia went into the wardrobe room and put our dresses on. My dress was lacey and black on the top half and then the bottom half was turquoise, I then wore turquoise ballet pumps that had a tiny heel on them. Tia was wearing a dress that was pink at the top and black with flowers on at the bottom and she paired the dress with a pair of pink heels. We walked out of the room as we said another thank you to the wardrobe department and walked off to go and find everyone.
