In mid April me (Nicole Jones) and my mother Mabel Jones moved to Chicago from our hometown Mankato,Minnesota. My mother had a sickness but she was to ashamed to tell me but I could tell she was.
It was a pain to watch everyday walk pass with my mother looking like this but I just acted like I did not know just so I could keep her happy.
It was my first day at school and I just wanted to make it this year just being me and not acting up cause my mom has to much to handle. My old school "Mildview high" was a hot mess.
People were racist, bullies, mean girls, and just straight dumb but I was one of the quiet ones but the people always find a way to throw me around like a frisbee.
The first day of school I was reading everyone like they were all walking magazine with their pages wide open. But the school seemed to be divide into sections that I didn't get at all.
There were the jocks, the cheerleader, the game boys, the smelly ones, and a group I did seem to give a name. But I was the only one who was quiet, but not for long.
There was one girl sitting in the cover all by herself reading a book called "the brick walls". I could tell she was a lonely girl so I seat beside her. "hey what's ur name mine Nicole" I said quickly. She replied a minute or two later. "I'm Alicia,Alicia Jackson"she said as quiet as ever. "But ur probably in the wrong place I got to go bye" Alicia said.
