twenty two

it was another tiring day for both byulyi and hyejin. however, today byulyi didn't want hyejin to go into the office today.

"you know, i have to work too, right?" the younger leans against the doorway, arms crossed as she still dressed in her pajamas.

the taller one nods, giving hyejin a quick peck on the nose. "i know, that's why i'll be the one making the money today."

"i- okay." hyejin gives in, knowing not to say anything before an argument breaks out. "just remember, i'm not trying to-"

"-depend on anybody." the ceo cuts her off. "i know, but if we're going to go on dates, we're going to need money."

with that, byulyi softly smiles "i'll call you when i arrive, okay?"

she leaves the place as hyejin closes the door, sighing.

walking back over to her bed, she folds the blankets up. the smell of her girlfriend's scent makes her smile as she continues to clean up the living room.

"ahn hyejin is out again?" byulyi "huffs" from exhaustion and "anger".

the coworkers nod at their boss, afraid of what will happen next.

"at this rate, just fire her." an older "senior" (terms of office/formality) harshly snags, continuing to type on her computer.

seungkwan does a "woo" face, wanting to know what will happen next. however, she comes up with a quick lie. "hyejin had an emergency to attend to."

"ah, did she now?" the newly trimmed black haired woman raises an eyebrow at her employee's lie.

both girls, seulgi and seungkwan nods furiously.

byulyi smiles, already luring in a few attention from the males and females. "very well then, carry on!"

leaving with her two assistants following after her.

"did the ceo just smile?" the black bangs turns to her girlfriend.

seungkwan shrugs with a knowing smirk. "i don't know."

"what do you mean? why are you smiling like that!" seulgi panics.

the blonde just laughs, stroking her girlfriend's head before retuning back to her work.

"i was thinking if you'll like to have dinner tonight, somewhere special?" byulyi smiles, holding the phone to her ear.

she feels the younger on the other side smiling as well. "if it's fine with you, then i would love to."

"of course it's fine with me princess." she continues to type with her hands on her laptop. "what are you doing right now?"

hyejin sighs deeply. "i'm bored, i'm just sitting around."

the older giggles. "watch your leslie guy."

"should i come visit you? i don't know."

byulyi's heart beats. her girlfriend visiting her at work? it's different than hyejin coming in the office to make out with her, way different.

"if you insist." she says but she knows she wants hyejin to visit her. "if you're too occupied, it's fine."

hyejin on the other line chuckles. "someone's a little too fussy, aren't they?"

"i-whatever, i'm going to hang up now!"

with that, she hangs up. embarrassed of what happened a few seconds ago. clearing her throat as she looks around before continuing to work on a few paperwork for the new deal with a window company.

"boss." jin speaks from the outside.

looking up from the papers, she stares at the door. "come in!"

jin barges in, making sure to close the door behind. "we're getting death threats, more like miss hyejin is getting them."

"from who?" byulyi's eyebrows furrows, putting down her pen.

the male walks up to the desk, with a packet in his hand. "this is not yongsun, this is someone else."

"i'm pretty sure i know who it is." she tries to talk, breathing almost stops.
