Before you read, I just want you to be aware of a few things:
1. This story is not a romance. I know that the description gives off that vibe, but I don't want this book to be all about love. I want this book to help teenagers who go through similar things know that they are not alone. This story will involve a lot of family drama, the importance of friendship, as well as a decent amount of romance. I just want readers to know that I don't want this to turn into a cliche, so feel free to comment if you feel like I'm making it too much about the concept of love, because I tend to do that.
2. The town "Alaswood" (pronounced "Ah-las-wood", not "Ay-las-wood), is a place I made up. The weather, the people, and the contents of the town are all imaginary. I wanted to create my own town because I don't live in South Carolina and didn't want to be completely off. Although I don't live in South Carolina, I wanted this story to be set there because I think it's a really beautiful state. Please don't comment that I am wrong about the atmosphere of South Carolina- Alaswood is a made up place.
3. CRITICIZE ME. Honestly! It might hurt for me to hear, but whatever you think is wrong about the story, tell me! I want to become a better writer, and what you guys enjoy reading is what is most important to me.
Thank you!
Happy reading,
Cara Nix
