Sweats dripping down Kageyama's face. Same thing happened to you. But it doesn't bother either of you. Joy was filling up your hearts, and that's what matter.

Kageyama stared at you in awe as you laughed your lungs out. He smiled, pride within him. He was happy that he was able to accomplish the greatest task of being a friend to you. He took a layer off of you, making you more open about yourself than you were to him earlier.

On the other side, you were so thankful that that blueberry boy encountered your life. You could smile and laugh like this thanks to him. And you wonder, what other great things he could do to you.

Kageyama blanked out again with the same exact thoughts that always had haunt him anywhere anytime. But the difference is, the first clip faded a little bit, flickering as it was played.

Then he shook his head furiously, trying to get back into the real situation here. "Wow.. seven p.m. already?" Kageyama said between his heavy breathing. "We should probably go home."

"Isn't the gate closed in six thirty?" You widened your eyes. You zipped off your backpack and took out Karasuno's guide book you got when you first got in. "Uhm-"

"Yeah, i know, [Y/n]. We can climb up the fence. I know the easiest spot to get out through." Kageyama snatched your guide book from your grip. You groaned in annoyance. He then put in inside your bag and zip it close.

"Come on." He walked towards the exit, his fingers played with the keys, rotating it around. You followed from behind, wiping sweats on your temple.

As soon as he was done locking the building, he took you by the wrist and dragged you along with him. After all these energy you've lost playing, it felt so hard to keep running. Kageyama ran fast, and you just could not take it anymore.

"Slow down will you?" You sounded exhausted and stopped in your track. Kageyama stopped running when you did and without any warning, he bent down and picked you up by your feet. Throwing you on his shoulder as if you were weightless.

"What the-!?" You wiggled your body, trying to escape. "I am not a sack of flour, you idiot!"

Kageyama didn't listen to you. He was laughing quietly, at your annoyed comments. "Here we are." He dropped you on your feet.

"Gosh, finally!" You exhaled.

"Now, climb up this wall. I know it looks hard, but it's easy." Kageyama said. You couldn't see his face very clearly, it was dark already.

Kageyama, trying to be a nice gentleman, held your hips up and helped you to take the first step which is quite high. "You can handle the rest?" He asked nicely.

"Yep." You answered, popping the 'p'.

---☆---

Took a while, but you two have finally made it to the other side of the wall.

"How can you not have any friends?" Kageyama asked you. His eyes was facing up to the sky, hands on his pockets. He said it so simply as if it was easy for you to make people interested being friends with you and stay.

You were not even sure how did the two of you became friends. You were not pleased if the answer was that he liked you at first sight, when he saw you on the way to coach's office. You needed more clearance and better reason why you ended up staying late at school, with him.

"It's not that simple, okay." You rolled your eyes yet again that day. "And what's up with you and these deep conversations?"

Kageyama looked down as he kept walking beside you. He wanted to tell you that you were in his thoughts since the start, before he met you. He wanted you to know that, so, so bad. But he was scared you will think he only befriended you because he was curious. Which was kind of true. But after knowing you deeper, he was genuine about this friendship.

"I ask, you answer." You looked at the boy beside you.

"What? Oh- Yea, i-i just wanna know how.. how it's like deep in you." You frowned at his words, not able to get what he meant by that.

"Uhh.. n-not like that!" His face turned red in a snap. "I meant-"

"Okay, okay, calm down, dumbass." You pat his back, a little too harsh. He winced in pain. You laughed. "If you're gonna be this awkward all the time, it's gonna be difficult for me to talk to you."

"I wanna know how it's like knowing you deeply." He answered, now without a single stutter.

"We just met less than a month and you already know quite a lot about me. Be thankful!" Your eyes twitched at your own words.

What you just said doesn't feel right. Of course, he already knew a few things. How you woke up late today, that you used to have a dog named Tom and a cat named Jerry, that you were from Tokyo, and how you always eat sweets when you're depressed. But you have a lot more burried inside you.

What you didn't know though, was that he also knew.
