"Son!"
"I'm going to be a Boy Scout!"
"Oh. A Boy Scout. Jerel did you tell him to do it?"
"No Maxwell, he wanted to do it on his own."
"Duncan, that's great but do you want to be a Boy Scout?"
"Oh. Yeah. Well.. I wanted to be.. but.. but.. not anymore."
*duncan slams the door to his room and starts to cry*
"Maxwell he's not going to succeed if you don't react happy to something he's wanted to do. And you owe me 230 dollars, he's not going to want to go to Boy Scouts anymore."
*Maxwell Nelson walks upstairs and starts to make his way into Duncan's room*
"Hey son, you want me to give you some advise?"
"I don't want one of your father son talks. And I don't want to be a Boy Scout anymore."
*Duncan pulls out list of things he wanted to be and crosses off the last thing on the list with a red pen*
"Just leave. You only make things worse."
Flashback
"Duncan? Sweetie, don't you want to say goodbye to your father before he leaves?"
"No. He's stupid. I'm glad that he's leaving for good."
"Duncan, just because him and I got a divorce doesn't mean you and I aren't going to see him for the rest of your life."
"I don't care."
Flashback
"Hey Duncan! You're dad's on the phone if you want to talk to him."
"Tell him I'm not home."
*7 minutes later*
*Maxwell Nelson calls Duncan*
*Duncan blocks his father's number*
"Well, looks like you weren't kidding about never wanting to see him or talk to him ever again."
"I don't joke anymore."
"I know that's true. I haven't seen you smile in years."
"There's no point to,"
*silence*
"Want to get a piercing?"
"I'll pass mom."
".....Okay......."
