Chapter 1: An Escape

Yusei didn't know what to do. He had gone with some other folks from the satellite to try and sneak into Neo Domino city.

However, after one of the guys yelled that sector security was coming, everyone scattered. Yusei just began running, not knowing where he was going.

He tried his best to find the other guys, but he didn't know where they went. Yusei spotted a sector security officer running towards him.

Yusei bolted the other way. He didn't want to get thrown into jail, or get sent back to the satellite.

The officer that was chasing Yusei caught up to him eventually. He pulled out his wand and electrocuted Yusei.

Yusei tripped over some uneven cement and fell down the nearby hill.

He tried to catch himself from falling, but couldn't. Yusei opened his eyes, seeing himself get farther and farther away from the top of the hill. Then, everything went black as an awful pain overcame Yusei.

But Yusei didn't know why everything was black. He laid where he was for a few minutes, but then he was able to get back up.

Yusei tried to open his eyes, but a sharp pain caused him to stop in his tracks and close his eyes tightly.

Yusei reached up to see if there was something in his eyes that was irritating them, but he felt something wet.

Am I crying? Yusei wondered. He stood up and began walking very slowly, trying to find somewhere to hide. Yusei suddenly heard the sound of a motorbike. Yusei fell back onto the ground as the force of a motorbike pushed him to the ground.

Yusei tried to open his eyes again, but was reminded of the terrible pain he had felt just a few seconds ago. This time, it was worse.

His eyes were burning and he screamed in pain. The person riding the duel runner ran over to him.

"Why in the world were you out in the street like that?!" He yelled. Yusei turned his head and the guy's anger immediately went away.

"What in the world happened to you?!" The guy said in his thick British accent.

"H-Help me...I don't know what to do...it hurts...." Was all Yusei could say before he fell to the ground, unconscious and in pain.

Jack's POV

I looked at the stranger, lying on the ground in an unconscious state. There was blood dripping from his eyes all the way down to the bottom of his head.

I kneeled down and picked the stranger up and brought him over to my duel runner. Just as I was about to take him to the hospital, a sector security officer pulled up beside me.

"That's one of the rogues that escaped from satellite!" He exclaimed while pointing at the stranger.

"What, this guy?" I asked as the officer nodded.

"Sorry, but I am under strict orders to take all satellite rouges to the facility." The officer said, reaching over to handcuff the stranger.

I slapped his hand away. "Can't you see he's hurt?! I'll be taking him from here and I assure you that I'll send him back to where he came from!" I said, starting up my duel runner.

I began driving to my place, seeing that sector security would probably be waiting at the hospital so they could arrest the guy.

When I arrived at my place, I was greeted by my assistant, Mina.

"Welcome back Mr. Atlas. How was your-" Mina didn't even finish her sentence before I picked the injured man up off of my duel runner.

"What happened?!" Mina asked in a panicked tone.

"I found this guy on the side of the road. I think he hurt himself while running from sector security. We need to help him." I said, walking inside.

Mina followed me quickly while she called for a few nurses. Whoever this guy was, he had probably just changed his life forever by coming here.
