Oh no, why does it taste like this?!
I'm currently panicking right now because the chocolates are bland as fuck, and I don't know how to fix it.
"Calm down, my lady. Let me taste one, I'll try to see what's wrong." The head chef kindly tells me.
I hand a heart-shaped chocolate to him, eagerly waiting for his verdict. He closes his eyes, and after a while, finally opens them again.
"I think we need to add a bit more honey, seeing as the chocolates are rather bland right now," he says, "however, you did very well for your first try, Lady Ambrosia."
Smiling, I thanked him. However, I did not have any time to waste. It was currently 6:13 in the morning, and I needed to make another batch before I go to school. I had about an hour or so before it was time to get ready.
Quickly getting out the ingredients, I follow the same steps I had the evening before, though this time I paid extra attention to the measurements. I think the head chef understood why I was rushing, so whenever I made a mistake he would give some helpful tips.
I pour the chocolate mixture into the heart-shaped molds before placing the tray in the fridge. I wipe the sweat off my forehead before sprinting off to my room to get ready for school.
-
"Are you ready?"
"Yes... maybe," I say hesitantly as I step up to serve.
We're currently in gym class, and it's my turn to serve in volleyball. Although I've played this sport numerous times in both this and my past life, it did not mean that I was good at it. My nerves are terrible, and I feel my stomach start to churn.
'Oh no, what if I shit myself because I'm too nervous?'
Deciding that that disgusting fate would be much more mortifying than missing the serve, I take a deep breath and throw ball up into the air.
It catches the light for a second as it's in the air, causing me to blink. Before I know it, the ball is coming back down again. I use the bottom half of my palm and smack the ball, praying that it makes it over the net.
'No! It's too short!'
The ball lands on the edge of the net, teetering between falling back onto our side or going over to the opposing team. My breath hitched in my throat as I watched the ball, wondering where it would go.
'In?'
'Out?'
'Make up your mind!'
Luckily, the ball tilted towards the other team, landing on the ground before the members were able to receive it.
"Yes!"
(Can you tell I've been obsessed with haikyuu lately lmao)
-"Okay class, I need to make an announcement," my homeroom teacher said.
It was currently our study hall period, and we were getting ready to go to lunch.
"The annual school festival will take place in about a month, and we need to come up with an idea for our classroom."
"Let's do a maid cafe!"
"What about a haunted house?"
"Let's do a rock display!" Some looks were recieved after that one was mentioned.
Students continued to call out different ideas. I just sit back and relax. According to the game, our class would perform a play. I don't remember what it was, but the heroine was the princess and the prince was, well obviously, the prince.
Again, I had played this game years ago, so the events were fuzzy.
"How about we put on a play?" Clarissa, the heroine, suggests.
"Good idea, I'll put that one up on the board with the rest of the ideas," the teacher says, "okay class, idea suggestions are over. Now, vote for the idea you think is the best. It was a close call between the maid cafe and the play, but the play still managed to win.
The classroom buzzed as students talked about the upcoming festival and how excited they were. Our teacher explained that we have access to all the art supplies and that we have a budget of $500, however, our teacher would not be able to help us out at all and would only be able to provide the necessary resources.
I smiled as I felt the excitement of my classmates infect my mood. This year's school festival is going to be great!
