Marian woke up feeling more rested and peaceful than she had in a long time. She inhaled deeply only to find out she wasn't alone. She lifted her head to see she was in Louis' arms.  She tried her best to slip off of the lounge chair.  What did she do last night?  "Thank god," she mumbled noticing that Kaia was still asleep.  She grabbed her bag and ducked out of the room.

Once she was safely out of earshot, she pulled out her phone.  Text me when he's gone. I'm sorry.  She hoped that Kaia would get the text and not rat her out. She made her way to the bathroom to freshen up before going to the cafè for breakfast while she waited for the all-clear.

Kaia opened her eyes. She'd had a restful sleep. She looked over at the oversized lounge chair and saw that Louis was alone. She looked around for Marian but didn't see her. She saw some notifications on her phone and one of them was a text from Marian.

Are you okay? Where are you?

I'm freaking out, I woke up in another man's arms.  I can't tell you where I am. We were waiting for you to wake up and I fell asleep. I didn't mean to.

And I bet it was one of the most restful nights of sleep you've had in a long time. Nothing happened. All you did was watch a movie and you fell asleep.  She glanced over at Louis who was slowly waking up.  I'll text you when he leaves.

I know, I'm sorry. I just can't right now.  Thank you, Love you Bestie.  She couldn't help but admit she loved sleeping in his arms. She felt happy and at peace, but she couldn't.  She was a married woman.

"Hey, Lou," Kaia said as she watched him sit up and rub his eyes. "Sleep well?"

"Yes, very well." He grinned at her. "Where did she go?"

"She had to go. Something about Faith waking up with a fever. Rosalie has texted her."  She said hating to lie to him.

"Oh," Louis said his heart falling. "So much for this being easy.  I guess I shouldn't come over for dinner on Sunday."

Kaia patted the empty spot on the foot of her bed. "Come here, Lou."

Louis got up trying his best to not frown finding it impossible.  "Yes,?" He said sitting down next to her.

"We never said this was going to be an easy journey you should know that. And yes, you better still come for dinner. Ahmir would have your hide if you didn't show up." She gave him a smile. "Remember some things are worth the effort and worth fighting for."

"I guess," He sighed. "I better knock off, so you can tell her the scary man is gone.  I will think about Sunday, no promises."

She reached out and took his hand. "Don't think. Just come," she said gently.

"If you insist," Louis said. "I will always love her no matter what. Tell Zayn I will talk to him later and I'm happy that you are okay."
