Reason why he's in Bates Motel:
He's hiding from the police because he got accused of murdering his sister. Once he got pushed in this place, He noticed that no body cares about him being a murderer. After a few days or so, he went out of the motel and police are aiming guns at him. He quickly went in, waiting for them to fire or bust in.
Cause of Craziness:
When he waited for the police's action, he was just sitting on his bed. Every now and then, doors will open and close. Windows will show red and blue lights. Guns shots will bolt him awake. His screams will be heard once he's visited. And now, he doesn't know that it is all just illusions and the Motel's ghost, trying to keep him in.
