Day 1: Sun Jun 2nd

"Huddle"

I used to watch this show all about meerkats and one of the things I learned is that after crisis, they huddle together to reassure each other. That is what happened today. I spent most of the day close to my husband. We watched Hell's Kitchen, and he got up and made pasta for dinner. I felt so bad lying around all day with him but then again, we never do that. We don't ever get time like that together to just be together like this. We don't get time to rest, or recoup. I spend the majority of my time on the go, so it was an odd change of pace to stop and rest most of the day, especially since it was such a difficult day. I kept looking around for the kids, and a million times I thought I heard them. I am still in shock that they are gone. At least I survived the first day. Make sure you have support the first day and someone who can be there for you and with you.

Day 2: Mon Jun 3rd

"Empty Halls & Laundry"

This photo has a double meaning. I managed to get some light house work done including the laundry and making dinner. The halls were noticeably emptier today with the house to myself. I got through another day. I think it's important to still carry on with normality and not completely fall apart. My therapist used to say that if you need to fall apart do it but allow ten minutes and then be done with it. You can't be consumed by it.
