Along came Dr. LUV

Luv is in the air

Luv's POV:

It was another busy day at work. At lunch I decided to meet up with my bestfriend, he just got back from a training abroad, pareho kaming doctor, nagkilala kami nung naguumpisa palang ako sa residency ko, he was like a mentor to me. My phone rang as I was parking my car.

Robert: "Hey are you close na? Nandito ako sa One heart Café, I heard they have the best coffee in the city- dito na kita hintayin."

Luv: "Yeah, sure, actually nag papark na ako, and I can see the café from here, see you in a bit."

Kaagad ko naman siyang nakita pag pasok ko ng cafe.

Tumayo ito para batiin ako-

Luv: "So, how was New York-"

Robert: "Great, all great- how's everything here?"

Luv: "Okay naman- hang on I'll just order."

Bumalik ako sa upuan ko after ko mag order.

Robert: "No joke, this is the best coffee ever- hands down- so anong bago?"

Luv: "Wala, walang bago, everything's the same- everyday is a busy day. Well aside from this, girl that I recently just met."

Robert: "Okayyy- tell me about this girl-"

Luv: "Well I told you, I just moved recently sa condo na nabili ko- and she lives there- right next door in fact."

Rober: "So, what happens to your house now?"

Luv: "I am thinking about selling it-"

Robert: "You're ready to sell it? Does that mean, you're completely over Sam? Sabi mo sakin, you'll never let go of the house, until you're sure that she's not coming back anymore-"

Luv: "I don't know, I just woke up one day, realizing that it was time for me to move forward, I just realized that, I don't want to keep waiting. It's crazy, it's crazy how one day, you could still be completely into it- way deep into it, then the next day, you'll be surprised, kahit gusto mo pa, kusa ng titigil- I literally just woke up wanting something else, something extremely different to what I'm used to- I don't know if she'll ever come back, but I hope not- cause I'm just not there anymore-"

Robert: "You know, don't get me wrong, I am so happy that you are finally out of that whole thing with Sam, I didn't even want you to stay after what happened, so I'm glad that it's finally over- but, this new girl, does she have anything to do with the sudden change of heart?"

Luv: "Honestly no, cause when I left that house and moved to the new place, I already decided to leave everything else that came with that house behind. But I wouldn't say she wasn't a factor, kasi nung umalis naman ako, there were still days na naiisip ko yung mga what ifs, you know with Sam- but meeting this girl- it was almost like she was just, handed to me- kahit na halos walang matinong interaction between us, ang gaang gaang ng loob ko sakanya, there's like this force na laging naglalapit sakin sakanya- and it's always so effortless-"

Robert: "But? There's a but to this right?"

I laughed, he truly is my bestfriend, he knows me very well.

Luv: "But? I don't know if there's a but, and it doesn't really matter- cause I think she's not ready to entertain, or if she's even open to anything like that-"

Robert: "Anything like what? Anything like love? Bakit nakikinig ba ang puso? Kapag tinamaan ka niyan, tinamaan ka- walang nakakailag diyan-"

Luv: "This one's different Robi- she's so different. Parang maguumpisa ka palang humakbang palapit sakanya, naka sampung hakbang na siya palayo saiyo. That's why I don't understand why I'm gravitating towards her- parang may magnet- I can't explain it-"
