"He set fire to the world around him, but never let a flame touch her."
I could feel my brother approaching and I sighed quickly grabbing Draco's hand and leading him out the door, my brother and Harry weren't gonna ruin this night for me. Even if I dreaded the idea of accepting what I was starting to feel for this man I shouldn't be with. It wouldn't kill me to try and trying meant making this relationship not my brother's business. I heard a small laugh come from the blonde man as we raced outside into the clearing, "I know a place." His voice seemed to echo in my head and I nodded.
He quickly wrapped our hands together more securely and I could feel the air leave my lungs but before the feeling could envelop me we were off. I heard the echoes of my brother's call but I ran. I kept my mouth shut even if the trees started getting bigger and bigger. Soon we stopped at a really old-looking tree.
"What is this?"
"Look up."
I raised my head and there it was an old-looking treehouse, I gave him an unimpressed look but he still had that mischievous look on his face. He motioned for me to follow him around the tree and I did. A ladder was resting waiting to be used and he started heading up. I grabbed the back of his jacket, "Wait are you sure this is safe?" He laughed, "Do you trust me?" he said softly as he held out a hand for me.
I took a look back towards where we came from and back at him, "Well I think I just have to give you the benefit of the doubt since we came out so far already." I grabbed his hand and went up the ladder. The front door was huge and bright red and seemed as if it wasn't even touched by nature. I looked at him confused and he smiled at me. Real or not I would take that adventure. He motioned for me to open it and I gave him a wary look but stepped forward.
I twisted the handle and pushed, my eyes widened.
The inside was huge, so this was like my father's tent. I stepped in and quickly noticed the fireplace and kitchen. It was like a complete house on the trees. Hands squeezed my arms from behind, "Do you like it?" I almost jumped but I held myself back, "Yes, is it yours?" He laughed as he let my arms go. His footsteps echoed as he walked towards the fireplace, "You could say that."
"It actually only seems to appear when I have the desire to get away. I came once just to come and it was gone. It seems it appears for you as well but I've never heard anyone else at the castle mention it."
I laughed as I sat on the couch in front of the fireplace, the noise of the burning wood making me relax, "I think it's because everyone is a little scared to get far from the castle."
I reached down to take off my shoes but a hand grasped my foot before I could remove it, "May I?" His voice sounded deeper than before and I looked up into his eyes, they seemed darker. I nodded not trusting my voice to not break. There was something about this man that made my body just want to melt. Every time he touched me I had mixed feelings, I wanted to get away from the goosebumps.
But I also wanted to feel goosebumps elsewhere.
He softly removed my shoe and I pulled up the dress so I could see as he removed the last one. He didn't take his hands off my foot even when the shoe was gone and my eyes didn't leave the hand that started roaming up, the goosebumps making my leg want to shake and I knew he could tell what he was doing to me.
No words were exchanged as his face neared my leg, I thanked Merlin Hermione made me shave even if it was really small hair. I closed my eyes when his lips touched my knee.
"I don't think you have any idea what you do to me, Weasley." The words were whispered but I heard each one of them clearly, I whimpered. I jumped and covered my mouth and he looked up at me wide-eyed, a satisfied smirk growing on his face.
"I think I'm in love with that noise, won't you make it for me again darling?"
I could feel the heat spread across my body at those words and before I could stop it I gasped and he chuckled, "Well that's something similar."
He let go of my leg and stood up, he walked towards the small kitchen and I quickly let go of my dress as I realized I was still holding it up as if he was still there. Did he really just leave like that? As if it was nothing. Was he not as flustered as me? My heart was racing so fast it felt like it would take hours to calm down.
"Would you like some tea?" My head hurt when I turned to look at him, I nodded softly and turned, "Apologies that there's nothing you can change into, I'm sure the dress is uncomfortable."
I stood up and walked slowly towards the kitchen grabbing the mug he was handing to me as he sipped his tea, "It's all right, I'm sure we won't be here for long right?" He gave me a look I wish I could understand.
"That depends."
I gave him a confused smile as I put my mug down.
"What does that mean exactly?"
He slowly lowered the mug from his lips and onto the counter, he slowly stepped towards me and I gripped the counter, that look in his eyes was back. He raised his hand and wrapped it around my waist pulling me towards him and ripping my hand from the counter. My arms sat on his chest as he started leaning down towards me.
"I wanted you to think about what I said back at the ball, I know you can feel it too Ana. Give me a chance, give us a chance. I could tell you long for what we were doing back at the couch with the way you glanced back at me when I came to the kitchen. Let's keep going, Ana. Forget about your brother, he can't dictate your life forever, you're a different person. Go on your own adventure."
