Carmen stepped out of her car and headed toward the address she was sent. Why Brielle needed to meet her in a park, she didn't know. Carmen wasn't trying to spend the day outside, especially on a hot day like this.

She searched for a bench to sit on and found an empty one, close to some kids playing in the vast green area. She shot Bree a text saying that she had arrived, then crossed her legs and waited.

Of all the girls in the friend group, Bree was the one she didn't know as much about. They barely knew each other when everything went down, and besides, that was a few years ago. After that, she hadn't even thought about any of them. Well, except Sai.

Sai was a different story, one of a book she thought she had closed. At first, it was just about Elijah. She wanted him, badly, and her friendship with Sai was just in place to make him scared. Scared enough to dump Sai and be with her fully. It didn't work out that way, though.

In all honesty, she had forgotten all about the two of them- sort of. Until she was reminded of everything and offered a chance to get even.

Carmen watched a little boy and two girls play tag in front of her. The boy was it, and one little girl took off to get as far away from him as possible. The other little girl stayed close to him, close enough to where he couldn't touch her, and started juking. He almost fell over, and Carmen held in the laugh that would have came out.

"Takes you back, don't it?" Bree took a seat next to her. "Life was easy as hell back then. All we had to worry about was playing games and letting the adults handle all the troubles."

"This ain't no best friend chit chat situation. What do you want?" Carmen didn't have anything in particular to go do today, she was just someone who didn't like all the sugarcoating.

"Based off what you told me, you need to be the one explaining."

Carmen wanted to be sure that Bree was serious about this, so she didn't say anything. She just waited for Bree to be honest with her and herself.

"How do we get rid of Sai?"

"Why do you want to get rid of her so bad?" Bree had basically begged for this meeting. She begged to get in on the whole thing after Carmen had let it slip that she knew someone who was putting something in the works. Something that would hurt Sai.

"I want peace of mind. She left for a year and my relationship with Elijah was fine. Now that she came back, I'm seeing there are more issues than I first thought."

"And you think getting rid of her is gonna solve you and Eli's problems? Maybe you guys need therapy." Carmen looked away. For her, it wasn't about hurting Elijah. She liked him a lot at a point, and she would leave his revenge to Desmond. Her focus was on Sai, just like Bree.

Carmen didn't like how the attention was constantly on Sai. They loved and worshipped her without even giving a second thought to anyone else. Everyone made Carmen feel like the bad guy for being with Elijah. It was like he got none of the blame and she took all of it, even though it required two to do what they did.

"He won't forget about her unless she's gone."

"What do you have in mind?" Carmen asked.

"You first, and we are not killing her."

She sighed. "That takes away all of my ideas."

Bree side-eyed her. "You were really gonna try and kill the girl? You got fucking issues."

"Says the bitch who's sitting here plotting wit me to get rid of her. You ain't got no space, so until you come up with something, I don't wanna hear shit." Carmen chuckled, "Besides, I was kidding."
