Ring!! "SOMEONE'S AT THE DOOR!" I screamed, my eyes wide open. I immediately noticed that the sound was coming from my bedside table on my right. 'It's the clock, godamn it'. It was already 7:34 and I wasn't out of bed yet, shocking.
I leaped out of bed and threw on a Joy Division shirt and a pair of loose jeans. 'It's Monday! Ms. Smith is going to kill me if I'm late to school!' I realised. I rushed downstairs and stuffed a slice of leftover pizza from last night into my mouth. "Susan!" called my mom "Slow down or you'll trip over!".
I ignored her and ran out of the door, but then quickly returned back inside to collect my bag. 'Ms. Smith is going to freaking kill me Ms. Smith is going to freaking kill me IT'S 7:45'-
"Susan!" yelled a familiar voice. I turned around and saw Damon, one of my close friends, running towards me. "Why are you running so fucking fast???" he asked. "Dames, it's 7:45; we're going to be late" I replied. "Have you seen Alex yet?" he asked again.
"No, why?"
"In case you didn't notice, Alex is always late."
"So?"
"If you can't see him yet, it means that we're not late."
"THEN WHY DID MY CLOCK SAY IT WAS 7:34 WHEN I WAS IN BED?!"
"Susan, this happened last week."
"Oh"
"Yep, Susan, it's 7:23"
"Oof" I uttered, in defeat."Now, I think we should probably get on the bus" Damon said, pointing his thumb at the orange school bus that stopped in front of the bus stop.
"Right." I replied, flustered.7:47
"Alex!" I cried, happily "Guess what happened today!".
"Hmmm, you forgot to fix your clock and thought that you were late and then you realised that you weren't?" muttered Alex.
"Yea... How did you know..?"
"Susan, this happened a week ago."
"I think I have amnesia" I whispered into Alex's ears, and he rolled his eyes.4:12
As the three of us were walking down the street to visit the bookstore, we passed by a small pub. "Woah! Is this what they sell here? Vodka?" I asked Alex and Damon. "Why do you think it's a pub, Susan?" Alex replied. "I.. Wanna taste it.." I mumbled, placing my hand on the pub window. "Sue, you're 13. You're far from the legal age to drink." chuckled Damon.
"You too!" I argued "You're 15!!"
"Children, children, please, calm down" said Alex, calmly.
"Shut up Alex you're 14!!!" I yelled. He coughed, then turned to Damon, squinting. "You sure she's stable?" he whispered to him.
"Yea, pretty much." Damon answered back, also in a whisper.
"Hmm."
