The End of the Beginning

Jungkook shot up from his bed.

His eyes traveled rapidly around the room in a panic. His heart was beating from his chest.

Oh... it was all just a dream?

But it felt so real.

Jungkook began to cry. His breathing was growing short. He had no idea if this was real. If any of this was real. He had watched all of his friends and the love of his life die right before him. He was evil. He was a horrible human being. He could've saved all of them, or stopped them.

Jungkook got out of bed and ran out of his room and went to the room next to him which was Yoongi's. He opened the door and Yoongi wasn't inside. He then went to the rest of the member's rooms and they weren't in their rooms either.

"Damnit," Jungkook cursed, but decided to run downstairs to Perilous' dorm to see if any of them were alive, but when he went down, he saw all of his friends sitting in the living room chatting amongst themselves.

Jungkook's eyes widened when seeing his friends and his girlfriend. He was so overwhelmed that he began to cry. Chaeah turned to him and gasped, "Kookie! Are you okay?! What happened?!"

She ran towards him and pulled him into a hug. He held her tightly. He was so happy to see Chaeah alive, unlike the withered Chaeah that stood before him in his horrible nightmare.

Jungkook looked up at her and smiled sadly at her. He kissed her all over and giggled a little. Chaeah only accepted his kisses with a puzzled look on her face, "Jungkook why are you crying? Please tell us what happened," she pleaded, and he nodded.

"Jungkook bro! I was actually about to set up the Nintendo Switch so we can play your game!" Hoseok said, but Jungkook shook his head.

"N-NO! Don't play!" Jungkook said. "It was scary...I had a nightmare about it. We were all sucked into the game."

"We were sucked in the game?" Jin asked in disbelief. "How was that...?"

"Horrible!" He exclaimed. "I'm sorry I didn't listen to you, Chae..."

"It's okay, Kookie...we don't have to play the game anymore." Chaeah played with his hair as he sat down next to her. "Everyone died except for me...you all had horrible deaths..."

"Tell us the dream, Jungkookie," Jimin said.

"Okay, this is how it went..." Jungkook took a deep breath. "So I went to bed pretty late because I was studying about the game because I was really excited to play it today, but I-I don't want the game anymore..."

"I walked into the living room with the game in my hand. We were all ready to play. We put the game in and then the lights began to flicker...then we all just got sucked into the game. We spawned in the main office and this guy on the phone was talking to us. We were split up. Chaeah and I were handling security, Song and Jin hyung were there with me for some nights too...and Hobi hyung and Jisoo noona too kinda..."

"I'm curious...who died first?" Minji asked and Jungkook turned to her. "Two people died on the first night. The first person was Solbi."

Solbi's eyes went wide, "w-what...? How did I die...?"

Everyone focused on the call, no one focused on the cameras. No one focused on Solbi who was nervously listening to the call, but then suddenly the sound of rattling caused her to lift her head.

The balloon boy was shaking, vibrating almost which caused her to hide more underneath the desk.

"Hello?" Its voice rang and her heart began to race as it kept on repeating.
