Chapter 32

"No, hell no" I said "You aren't going anywhere near him" 

"I second that" Mira chirped up. 

"I feel like I have to, it's my fault" she looked away.

"Dammit Lucy no it's not" I pushed away from the bars "Nothing about this is your fault, he's a dick that doesn't deserve your time"

"But I....."

"You are too good, for him, for me, for everyone. You are too good, he shouldn't even get to be talked about by you, you are amazing and nothing about this is your fault" I stared at her "He didn't know what he had when he did, but I do. I know how amazing you are and how you shouldn't be blaming yourself for what happened."

"Pouring your heart out in a jail cell, add that to the list of things that I never thought I'd see" Mira smiled "I'm going to go check on Isabelle and Carol" she smiled again then walked off.

"Isabelle and Carol? Is everyone you hire a woman?" Lucy asked with a small smile on her face.

"Look at that smile, absolutely beautiful" I ignored her question and looked at her instead.

"Let's focus on getting you out of here, and getting you out of those bloody clothes"

 "Already trying to get me out my clothes" I joked.

"I wasn't.......I didn't......I just...... I'm not ready" she stuttered.

"Relax, I was making a joke." I sat down "I'd never force you to do something like that after you just went through this. Also no need to worry about Carol and Isabelle, they are very good at their job." I leaned back.

"Dragneel" an officer came around the corner with two women behind him "You have one hell of a team" he sighed as he unlocked my cell and let me out "Until we do more investigating you're free to go" he held the door open as I walked out fixing my sleeves.

"Thought so" I hummed grabbing Lucy's hand and walked out the building.

<LUCY POV>

Natsu and I left the building with our fingers interlocked and walked to the car. It was like nothing had just happened and he wasn't just in a holding cell. "So, Natsu code 26 huh" a woman in a black pencil skirt and a white button up shirt said, she took her long brown hair out of its bun and let it fall down her face.

"You know, to make sure you don't go to jail we need to know what really happened". the other woman said strutting besides the first woman wearing the exact same outfit but a charcoal skirt and a black shirt.

"Carol, don't be a bitch" he looked at the second woman. "I was defending her" he pointed at me "Her ex raped her and I did something about it"

"I'm sorry" Carol looked away fro a moment before regaining her previous stature.

"We need to go over somethings but besides that I'll leave you alone" Isabelle said adjusting her bag on her arm. "Great to meet you Lucy, wish you the best" she smiled and walked towards her car.

"Don't be a stranger Mira!" Carol yelled "also again Lucy I am so sorry" she twisted her face a little then walked over to Isabelle's car.

"Are they related?" I asked pointing to them as the three of us walked to Mira's car.

"They are only my favorite twins ever" Mira smiled unlocking the car.

"And my favorite lawyer duo" Natsu pulled the car door open for me and closed it after I stepped in. "So, I was thinking" he started after Mira pulled off in the direction of Philz "You should get full time bodyguard"

"I can set up some interviews if you'd like or I can just assign you one." Mira glanced at me through the mirror.

"I really don't think that's necessary" I looked over at Natsu.

"It's either that or you're moving in with me" his head snapped towards me " You know what, that's exactly what's going to happen" he turned forward and looked at Mira through the mirror "Have the movers pack up her room and bring them to the house." 

"What? No Natsu you can't just do that" I fought.

"I can, and I will" 

"I can't leave Levy alone, or class, I can't miss class or be late I've missed so much already." 

"We'll find a room for her at the house." he said pulling out his phone.

"But it's so far away and we agreed I would only be there on the weekends, I'm sure Levy wouldn't be ready just to pack up and move" I tried to find any excuse I could.

"Well you can't stay where you are, he knows where you live" he snapped. I shrunk in my seat and looked away. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to yell"

"You're right" I whispered looking out the window, "I'll let Levy know to start packing and that some movers will be there" I pulled my phone out my sweatpants pocket and pulled my hood on. "Hey L, I don't really know how to say this other than we're moving and I'm selling the apartment. Start packing up our stuff, some movers will be there to help out soon." I said into the phone when she picked up.

"I'm sorry what?" she yelled "Where the hell are you going and why am I being evicted"

"You're not being evicted, we're moving into Natsu's house. It's the safest place to be at the moment since Sting knows where we live and everything." I sighed and she went silent on the other end.

"Just text me when the movers get here, I'll call Gajeel to help me some" she replied softly.

"Of course, I'll see you later" I smiled.

"See you" she hung up and I sighed.

"Where are we?" I asked looking out the window at the tall wide building in front of me.

"The hospital" Natsu and Mira got out the car leaving me inside.

"Hello" I said getting out the car and following them into the building, Mira was on the phone and Natsu was tapping furiously on his phone. "For what"

"For you" Natsu looked up as we entered the building "For your kit so we can get a solid case."

"What kit?" I asked following Natsu around.

"Your rape kit dear, it's a very sensitive subject so I will talk you through the whole thing but it must be done immediately" a doctor said as we stopped in front of her.

"I'll be right out here, Mira is making some arrangements at the house for you and Levy okay?" 

"Okay" I nodded walking with the doctor to a room.

"I love you" he called behind me.

"I love you" I said twisting my face and walking into the room.
