Prologue
My breaths became short and ragged as I peered through the rugged hole, praying that I'd make it out of this situation alive.God please let me live, I beg you. I'll do my chores-well I already did them. I'll stop cheating on my tests-actually no I'm not smart enough for that. I don't know what I'll do but I'll do something, if I can. just. live.
'A-aquila. Are you seriously praying right now?" He voiced, clearly parched. I huffed at him, my voice laced with annoyance. "What does it look like? He let out a loose grin, that I would have found sort of cute, had we not been on the verge of death.
"Leave it to you to act like this in such a dire situation." "If we die-actually never mind I'll take it to the grave." His grin dropped.
We aren't going to die Aquila, not today." The space was becoming compressed, and I was just about ready to drop dead, quite literally.
Our voices staggered as it inched closer. "Holy shit." We whispered simultaneously.
"Times up." It said.
