I drove to the exclusive resort kung saan gaganapin ang party ni Sheena. I'm wearing a white blouse with a front low-square neck line, tucked in a light brown high-waisted belted cargo pants and a white sneakers. I pulled down my wavy golden copper hair and applied a light make-up.

After I parked my car ay pumasok na ako sa loob. Puno nang iba't-ibang kulay na ilaw ang pool area pero hindi pa rin nito madadaig ang liwanag na hatid ng buwan ngayon. Nasa pool area ang ilan sa mga bisita niya. Some are eating and drinking near at the arranged table and some are having different kinds of drinks at the side of the pool.

"Hi there, Miss Harte!" Sheena greeted me with a glass of wine in her hand.

"Hi, Sheen!" I hugged her. "Happy birthday!" I greeted.

"Where's your boyfriend anyway?" she asked while grinning.

"He's in Cebu, you know, work," I answered. She just shrugged and smirked.

"Okay, well just enjoy yourself tapos ipapakilala kita sa boyfriend ko mamaya," masaya niyang sabi sa akin.

"Hoy! May boyfriend ka na?" pang-aasar ko sa kanya.

"I thought you're a lesbian," I hissed.

"Ouch!" She gave me a thump on the side of my head. It's not really that hard but I'd still flinched.

"Uy kung lesbian ako, niligawan na kita," she smirked and winked at me. "Yuck, Sheena!" I blurted.

"Whatever, just go and get your drink, you know, fruit shake," she said in a teasing tone.

I walked inside the glass room. Merong nag-iinuman sa couch at may iba naman na nasa hagdan. I kinda used to this kind of event dahil siguro taon-taon ay may pa birthday party si Sheena.

Nilibot ko ang mata ko sa lugar na ito. Some are approaching me with a hail-fellow look. I just unleashed a nonchalantly beam at them. Nang marating ko ang kitchen area ay umupo ako sa mataas na chair sa harap ng countertop habang umiinom ng mango shake.

I just found myself smiling while texting him. I shook my head because of the outlandish feeling inside of me. I can't tell...

"Betryle!" I'm shocked nang sigawan ako ni Sheena. "I've been looking for you! Halika, ipapakilala kita sa boyfriend ko. Dali!" Hinila niya ako mula sa kusina at dinala sa pool side kung saan maraming tao na nag-iinuman.

"Betryle!" Nagulat ako nang sumigaw si Nathan, Nikko at Conor sa tuwa nang mayakap nila ako.

"Uy! Kamusta na kayo?" I asked.

I stood agape with their tight hug. Indeed, small world. Sobrang saya ko dahil finally ay nakita ko rin itong mga mukong na 'to.

"Okay naman kami. Gwapo pa rin," Nathan declared arrogantly habang nakapamulsa.

"Talaga? Gwapo ka?" pambabara ni Sheena sa kanya. Napataas ako ng kilay nang inakbayan siya ni Nathan. Kasabay rin nun ang pag-akbay ni Conor and Nikko sa akin habang tumatawa.

"Mukha kayong alien," pang-aasar nilang dalawa.

"Inggit lang kayo kasi wala pa rin kayong jowa," pang-aasar ni Nathan habang tawang-tawa pa rin itong dalawa na 'to.

"Cheers to singlehood, men!" they shouted happily sabay cheers nila ng hawak nilang bottle of beer.

"Hayaan mo sila, baby. Naiinggit lang sila," sambit ni Sheena saka sila naghalikan sa harap namin.

I've known Sheena for many years and I always tell that she's wild and free. I didn't know that when I first met her because she seems a kind of girl that is studious, gentle and quite but in the outside world she's not. You'll never know that unless you got a chance to know her.
