Lush, vibrant undergrowth surrounded a crystal-clear pool which glimmered like the stars. The soft, delicate grass waved as the warm but cool breeze refreshed the forest with it's touch. The inky black sky was vast over the large forest, painted with stars that shone like fireflies.
This was StarClan. Where as long as you remembered, life was eternal. But there was a price. Death.
From within the bushes, a body was pushing through. The leaves rustled and soon came out a slender feline. Her thick, silky, white fur was illustrated with brown and black markings, and her eyes twinkled like polished emeralds. Her small, ghostly paws made barely any sound as she padded over to the pool and sat down neatly, her long, fluffy tail wrapped neatly around her, resting on her delicate feet.
Two more cats emerged. One's paws were broad and wide, with strong shoulders and a long, slightly blunt muzzle. He twisted his body as he shook the leaves off of his golden fur, which shimmered like the sun. He glanced his dark, amber eyes at the other feline, who's fur was white as snow, with a blue-gray color splashed in to color his fur.
The cat met his amber gaze with sky-blue eyes. He obviously knew no more than this cat did about this meeting. However, the calico feline knew exactly why she had gathered them. "Well?" The golden tom spoke, his voice rough and deep. "What are we here for, Fallenbreeze?"
Fallenbreeze stared, silent for a moment. "We are here for the prophecy." Her voice was low and smooth, with an accent. "What prophecy?" The white and blue-gray tom asked. His voice was higher pitched and carried a smooth normal accent that the Clans were used to.
"The prophecy about the two kits, Blizzardfang." Fallenbreeze told him, her emerald eyes dark and serious. "One strides high, and one falls like the sun." Fallenbreeze murmured in a quiet voice, so no other StarClan cats passing near the clearing could hear them.
"And blood must meet blood in battle, before the storm destroys all." The golden feline finished. "Exactly right, Braveheart. And to be honest, I wish it wasn't." Fallenbreeze sighed, her eyes heavy with defeat.
"I know a tom, called Red." Braveheart began tentatively, and nervously. "Go on.." Fallenbreeze's face wore an expression of sudden hope and curiosity. "He's a rogue- Hang on, let me finish. He believes in StarClan, since I told him all about it and stuff. I think he could help one of the kittens. He's fast-thinking, loyal and skilled. But he is also wise."
Fallenbreeze stared, disbelief beginning to stir in her gaze. Then with a burst of anger, she leapt to her paws, one long leg raised in anger. "Are you kidding me?!" She exploded. "Red happens to be in that same group terrorizing the Clans! He knows nothing! Plus they call him Blood." Fallenbreeze hissed.
"It was just a sug-" Braveheart was cut off by rustling in a bush to their right. Another feline slunk out, her sky blue eyes holding an expression of nervousness and concern. Her pale gray tabby fur looked fluffy and freshly groomed, only ruined slightly by some dirt and leaves clinging on.
"Dreamfur, I-" "What is going on here?" She asked, cutting Fallenbreeze off. "I thought the Clans were able to deal with the rogues themselves."
"If you actually began watching down on them and your friends-" "Who are also dead." "Then you would know!" Fallenbreeze snapped. "And what happened to your sister, Shadowedflame?"
"I- I-" "Exactly!" Fallenbreeze snarled. "Just give it a chance. If using Red doesn't work then we can just send another cat." Dreamfur interrupted. The gray feline must have been eavesdropping.
"Okay, but who is giving the prophecy?" Blizzardfang questioned. Before Dreamfur could say anything, Fallenbreeze stepped forwards. "I'll do it." With a hard stare at Dreamfur.
The gray tabby looked almost ready to object, but then closed her mouth again. "Very well then." Dreamfur dipped her head. "It's sorted." Blizzardfang decided. "We send it when she is a moon old."
