Once upon a time...
There was an enchanted forest filled with all the classic characters we know.
Or think we know.
One day they find themselves trapped in a world where all their happy endings were stolen.
Our world.
This is how it happened...
Prince Charming raced along the edge of a beautiful lake on horseback. He pushed his horse faster, traveling past the mountains and through the forest before coming to a stop at Snow White's coffin. Her pale white skin, long black hair, and red lips contrasted with the forest around her, a picture straight out of a storybook. Surrounding her coffin were the famous seven dwarves, all mourning the loss of their friend. Charming jumped off his horse and shook out his brown hair, running to her as the dwarves turned around to face him.
"You're too late," Doc said and stepped back to let him in.
"No. NO!" Prince Charming ran to the coffin. "Open it."
"I'm sorry, she's gone," Grumpy stated heavily.
Prince Charming shook his head. "At least let me say goodbye."
The dwarves carried the glass top off of the coffin.
Prince Charming kneeled and kissed Snow White. As their lips touched, a magical glow rippled out from around them, spreading throughout the land.
Snow White took a deep breath and looked at Prince Charming as he smiled.
"You. You found me." Snow White said, a grin rising to her lips.
"Did you ever doubt I would?" Prince Charming replied, helping Snow White sit up.
"Truthfully? The glass coffin gave me pause."
"Well, you never have to worry. I will always find you."
"Is that a promise?"
**********
"I do." Prince Charming said, smiling at Snow. They stood hand in hand inside a ballroom in their castle, filled with all manner of people there to witness their wedding.
"Do you, Snow White, promise to take this man to be your husband, and love him for all of eternity?" The priest intoned.
"I do." She smiled.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife."
Everyone in the ballroom began clapping.
Doc turned to Grumpy, noticing he wasn't clapping. "Hey!" He elbowed him.
"Hmph." Grumpy joined the applause.
Prince Charming leaned in to kiss Snow White, but just before their lips met, the door banged open.
The Evil Queen stood at the entrance. A striking black dress hugged her figure and her long black hair was done up in an elaborate updo, an outfit meant to uphold her reputation and inspire fear. As the audience gasped, Snow White leaned into her prince, placing a hand on his chest.
"Sorry, I'm late," she said sarcastically and began to walk up the aisle. Two guards tried to run in front of her but were blasted aside by dark magic.
Doc stepped forward. "It's the Queen. Run!"
Snow pulled the sword out from Prince Charming's side and pointed it at the Evil Queen. "She's not a queen anymore! She's nothing more than an evil witch."
