Meredith Grey sat at the bar, waiting for her second round of tequila. Joe, the bartender said cheerfully "Straight Tequila? You're going to be sorry in the morning." She replied dryly "I start my new job tomorrow." Joe nodded and said to a guy, who happened to be sittting next to her "How you doing?"

The guy just looked at Joe with tired eyes and said "Double scotch single malt please." He turned to look at Meredith. "So, is this uh a good place to hang out?"

She looked up at him and said "Um, I wouldn't know. First-time being here."  He smiled and says "You know what? I haven't etheir. First time here. I'm new in town. Never been to Seattle, new job. So, Ha! You're ignoring me."

Meredith sat on the stool, just wishing for this drunk asshole to leave her alone but she decided to reply, maybe he would leave her alone then. "I'm trying to" She replied, while taking a swig of tequila.

"You shouldn't ignore me." He said, taking a drink of his scotch. "And why is that?" Meredith answered casually. "I'm someone you need to get to know so you can love me." the guy remarked.

"Really?"

"Oh yes"

"So if I know you, I'll love you?"

"Uh-uh"

"You really like yourself, don't you?"

"Just hiding my pain, so what's your story?" the guy asked. "I don't have one. I'm just a girl in a bar." Meredith claimed. "I'm just a guy in a bar." He replied smoothly.
