Orphaned...???.

There is a time of the day when the sky slowly turns into lighter shades of black thus indicating the darkness which is soon going to engulf the whole world with the blackness and wickedness. This time of the day is my favourite because at this time no one can see my tears and loneliness.

The solitude and fear were wrenching my heart. What will you do if there is no one who can understand or love you? But me, the unfortunate child who doesn't even have parents, how can I overcome my fear and how can I even stand in this horrible world. Yeah I'm an orphan and I know living without parents is not easy, you can't get love and affection from them. Your life only revolves around the walls of an orphanage. You can only crave for your mother's love and father's lovelorn chide. You have to do your own work. There are so many aspects which haunt you when you are living in an orphanage alone as you see all your friends disappearing day by day and you are left on one's Jack Jones.

There were only authorities present there with cops to investigate the reason regarding the sudden absence of other children.

But the most horrifying incident which I have experienced was something embroiled and perplexing and I didn't even know who was behind it, whether it's a human or an animal. The only thing I know is that there is an old warehouse beside the building of my orphanage. I am sure that some living beings are there but God knows what it was. But as a child my curiosity increases to check upon that house which itself is a mystery. All night I can hear owls hooting, buzzing of the insects. Fluttering of lights can be seen every night, smashing of glasses can be heard. My suspicions were increasing by each passing night and now I can't wait to go there and survey that place. I didn't know I would soon be getting a chance to explore that place.

One night I got a chance to enter that haunted house. But what I saw there was enough to snatch my life away but anyways I started walking forward, gulping the bile which had stored in my throat because of the fear. My legs and hands were trembling and I was shivering badly. There were so many zombies and they were literally feeding on small animals. Somehow I saved myself from coming in front of them. Everywhere there was blood flowing from the body of infants and children. There was a situation of distress and everything was unsettling there. Dogs were barking outside, cats were screaming. I don't know why. I started to freak out, I had been sweating profusely.

I don't know what's happening to me but I was getting intuitions that something really bad is going to happen which was freaking me out more.

Everything present there was creepy, skeletons hanging from the roofs giving me goosebumps. Then I saw a woman wearing a blood red flowing dress, waiting impatiently for me while chugging on one of the zombies. It didn't take me long to understand the whole scenario but I was unable to digest the fact that an evil woman can convert the children into zombies and then eat them. Suddenly I was shocked by her sound and I heard her saying "Oh!!boy, from where have you come??" Firstly I was scared to death but I don't know why I responded to her confidently. I said, "I don't think I should answer you or is it necessary to answer you??"

She exhaled the breath she was holding but she seemed impressed by my confidence. She laughed evilly and said, "I am impressed with you, I have never seen a confident boy like you, who has the courage to answer me back even after standing at my place. All those zombies which you have seen when you entered here were those children who got terrified of me and surrendered themselves to me. But you have the power to rule over the whole world". But while she was telling me all these , I don't know why but I could see a glimpse of freedom and belonging in her eyes like she was extremely happy and doing a happy dance in her brain.

Until I could contemplate her words there was smoke for a few minutes which helped her to disappear from there. Firstly I was wondering where she had gone and I started searching for her but to my dismay she was nowhere to be found. She very well knew that this was going to happen but why didn't she tell me directly, why she just disappeared. There were lots of questions running through my mind but there wasn't a single answer. Sadly, I assumed or I had to assume that I have to take upon her power and follow her league but little did i know fate was planning a different game. The woman turned out to be more than a cruel being. She was someone who gave birth to me and she was doing all these because my father had left me in an orphanage giving the excuse that he wasn't able to take care of me. Because of this heart wrenching incident my mother decided to kill every child in this whole universe as she wasn't able to give me all the happiness.

But the fact unknown from all was that my father had lied because he knew that his wife was a vampire and he had to take this tough decision of saving my life by abandoning me. But fate always has its own way and today me, the orphaned child who has parents alive though was left with no choice and I had to follow my mother's steps.

It was also unknown to me whether I am a vampire like my mother or a normal human being like my father. It's a question for me also how I am going to fulfil my responsibility given by my mother. It's still an unsolved mystery!!

A/n:- This is my first attempt in writing, something this much long and I don't know how it has turned out. There are so many people who have inspired me to write and thus I have given writing a shot. This lockdown period has ignited the passion for writing within me so this is the outcome. Though I'm a neophyte to this, I'll try my best to do my best. I have written this first part of the two shots and the second part will be published shortly. Hope this venture of mine turned out to be good!!
