chapter 1- introduction

*hey guys sorry i'm new at this so please go easy on me*

*brads point of view*

As you flew in on the gunship you couldn't help but admire the beauty of the jedi temple, it was a few thousand years old and yet it blended perfectly to the other buildings. However upon thinking about the temple you began to panic as you remember what today was, you had managed to push it back to the deepest pits of your mind, but thinking of the jedi caused it to re surface. Today was the day you would meet your new master.

It was time, as you stood behind the door to the jedi council chambers you attempted to calm yourself but struggled being that behind that door were some of the best jedi in the order and one of them is going to be your master. You thought back to the gathering, back to when you first got your crystal,when you got in you were confused and worried at first, worried that the door would seal before you got out and then you'd starve and never see your friends back at the temple again, but alas you knew if you were to have a chance to survive and make it out you would have to find your crystal and fast. You were always kind of selfish back then, and during the gathering was no different,you only cared about you getting the crystal and nothing else,and so you searched and searched and searched, until you saw it, a glowing crystal shining bright blue at the end of a hallway,you sprinted down, pried it free and stared at the memorising rock in your hand. You quickly retraced your steps and got back to the entrance of the cave before walking out and presenting your crystal, you were first, and yet silence from master Yoda until he simply said "sure that this is your crystal, are you?" 

"yes master"you replied without opening your eyes

"check again, you may want to hmm?"

you opened your eyes at the dull, grey and lifeless stone in your hand"what?! this was bright blue i don't know what happened?" as you sat there contemplating you watched the door get lower and lower, three of the other younglings walked out but one was missing. you was curious but as you saw the door get lower you realised that they weren't going to make it quickly you panicked but calmed as you let the force flow through you. Instantly you knew what you had to do. As you placed the crystal in your pocket you ran back into the cave,you felt agitated and worried, not for yourself but for them, you felt a steely determination as you allowed the force to guide you, as you navigated the caves you quickly heard cries for help and you quickened your pace.

as you turned a corner you saw Ovatch,a trandoshan jedi, he had a green crystal clutched in his hand, his leg was stuck under a boulder and he was visibly in pain, using the force you reached out and lifted the boulder off of his leg and you rushed over to him,his leg was crushed and definitely broken,you asked him weather he was ok and he shook his head, you then asked if he could walk and ,through tears, he shook his head and so you quickly picked him up and began making your way back out,just as you saw the door though it was almost fully shut and so you ran and manage to slide underneath the door and out to the other younglings. as you stood up two more younglings (a Mon calamari named Cruck and a female sullustan named Jia) rushed forward and took Ovatch from you, "changed, it appears something has" stated master Yoda and you quickly realised what he meant when you looked down and saw a bright blue glow coming from your pocket, you quickly pull out the now lively crystal and gaze at it with pure joy, "learned something today, all of you have hmm?" 

"yes master Yoda" you all replied

"good then go board the ship and build your lightsabres, you must".

you were quickly snapped out of your memory upon hearing the words "in,you may come".

as you stepped into the chamber you were greeted by master Yoda

"made,a decision has been" he said "kit-fisto, your new master will be"

 you nodded as kit-fisto stood up and walked over to you, you gave a quick bow and then asked to be dismissed, "yes, go the council has many more things to discuss"replied master windu

you left the room and headed for your chambers. later that day you receive a message over your comlink, "hello?" you said before hearing the voice of your new master saying

"i need you to come to the training rooms so we can begin the training"

"yes master" you replied before ending the call and leaving your room,as you begin to head towards the training room you passed the library and stared inside at all the jedi who were studying however whilst deep in your own thoughts you turned a corner and walked straight into someone, as you stood up you got a good look of them, they were a togrutan, with orange skin and eyes as blue as your sabre, as you helped her up she apologised profusely stating that she was day dreaming and not looking where she was going,you apologised yourself and asked "whats your name?" with a nice smile, she stared at you for a second before answering

"my name is ahsoka tano".
