The moment that the music video was uploaded on Big Hit's YouTube channel, my heart was pounding and I was genuinely anxious to click on it. I'm sure the viewers were going to feel that anxiety that was radiating off of me through the camera. It was easy to hide emotion when you familiarised yourself with them but there was no way possible for me to hide the mixture of emotions that's were coursing through me.

"Holy! Okay so the video is there now that I've refreshed the page... gosh I'm so nervous but I'm also ridiculously ecstatic."

I clicked on the video and the click of the mouse created an echo that bounced on the wall, further adding on to the tension that was building internally. As per usual the Big Hit intro came to frame and my breathing fastened.

"Wow the views are already pretty high and it's actually not as high as the likes... yo YouTube be high on something and it's a mystery that even Shane Dawson can't make theories about." I said in English the moment I clicked, hoping to calm my own nerves.

Then I saw it. "THE BEACH" written in white cursive letters contrasting the dark grey background that was gradually fading.

When I was told that I was confirmed to debut, I knew I wanted to set a mature but mellow tone for my role as SKY and with that I put forward a collection of songs to Namjoon and Donghyuk for them to cut it down to ten songs for me to show the whole production team but I told them, "I don't care what happens, The Beach will be my title track and I will fight for it to be. I hope you will help me if they reject it."

At first the team were not so keen on The Beach since there was no impact and the mood I was going for really contrasted the tone of the songs but I knew that the soft glamour would compliment well with the tones of each song.

It really emphasises that idea of a perfect relationship that in reality is all glamour and fake and the reality of it is that, it was never going to end well. I wanted to push that concept and idea because I knew it would make a mark for me as an artist and people would take me more seriously than just Bangtan's little sister.

The video started with my character sitting on the ledge of a pier with her legs hanging over and softly swinging as the wind blew her hair back during dusk. She had a pair of golden tinted glasses on and was wearing a golden cocktail dress with the heels thrown beside her.

As she fell back, lying on the pier with a thud, the first line was sung and the camera pointed up to the sky.

If I told you that I loved you, tell me, what would you say?
If I told you that I hated you, would you go away?

As those lines were sung, it showed my character in a different, more saturated setting walking down a mansion staircase to a centre area from the left side, while a man was simultaneously walk down the opposite staircase leading to the same centre area in the same manner. Her hands glided along the the handle of the stairs and my character kept her eye contact with the man.

Before they reached the centre area the scene shifted to both of them in a party setting the glitters and shimmers all around them and they held a sudden eye contact as they looked at each other from across the room.

Now I need your help with everything that I do... I don't wanna lie I've been relying on you...

Her hands rested on the table with the party dishes as she leaned back on the table to support myself as she faced him.

The scene cut again.

Falling again... I need a pick-me-up.
I've been calling you friend, I need to give it up.

In this scene, it showed them up close as they got themselves into an act of intimacy, purely sensual but no kisses or sexual act necessarily. They were in an embrace as they fell into the bed with the same bright saturation with somewhat cool undertones.
