Retrieving a Cover

Welcome to my cover page! If you are here to retrieve a cover you have requested, follow these instructions.

1. Access the chapter with your story's name and your username. I will let you know when your cover is finished and has been posted.

2. Select the image under "Media" on the right side of the screen by doing one of these things:

       Windows: Right-click the image

        Macintosh: Right-click the image if your mouse allows you; otherwise, hold down control and then click.

3. Select "Save Image" or "Save Image As..."

4. Your cover should be the correct dimensions already, but if it isn't, either let me know or crop it down to 256x400. These are the Wattpad cover dimensions and will not cut anything off.

COVER REQUIREMENTS:

The title of the story - this is a no-brainer, and yet, I've had some people forget to tell me, so please don't.

The subtitle, if you want it - This would be something like a quote that is major in the book or something that describes the plot. It's definitely not required, so unless you have something in mind, don't feel pressured to come up with one.

If you want the author name, and if so, how it should be typed - Take, for example, if your name were MushyKetchup, which is mine, and your other name on here is Amandine Markham. Do you want Amandine Markham? MushyKetchup? Mushy Ketchup? MK? AM? A. Markham? Do you even want your name on the cover? I gotta know this.

Your preferred photos, if any - this basically means if you have a specific photo you want. Otherwise, just specify if there's something you want on the cover, like a guitar or a journal or something of that variety. If you want character pictures, find 'em or make 'em yourself, please, so that you know what exactly you want this character to look like.

The general tone of the story - no, really! Please, if you only have a 300 word chapter up so far, don't ask me to read it and not tell me what the story will basically be about. One chapter, no matter how long, rarely yields the majority of the plot. You don't have to give me mega-spoilers, just tell me if it's a romantic comedy or horror or whatever. 

Any fonts you would like - this is fairly rare to hear people request, but hey, if you just really want the cover in a handwritten-looking font or in something looking Victorian or from a typewriter, you can ask. Please don't ask for a specific Microsoft Word font title, because not all versions of Microsoft Word have the same fonts.

PLEASE NOTE:

I actually have a life. Your cover may take a few hours, a few days, or even a week. If I feel that the cover in request exceeds my skills and will be a disappointment or that I don't have the time to create the cover in request, I will let you know. Don't feel insulted - it only means I'm either really busy or think I need some more practice before doing your particular request. 

You need to include all the information. You can request your cover through the comments or through a message to me, though I'd prefer the former, but please include what I stated before with requirements. If you just say "Will you make a cover for me?" time will be wasted trying to fish all the information out of you, and you won't receive what you want quickly.

Don't know if you like my work? There are past projects included in this story, which are all the other chapters on here. ;) Some of them are from another website, Quotev, where I also ran a cover business, but all are by me, including the cover for this very page. 

Need it at a specific time? Suck it up. I'm gonna do these when I can, not when your prissy little mouth tells me to. The maximum time spent will be a week, at which point your cover will either be posted or I'll message you, saying I can't at the moment. If you want it in exactly one hour, then get your head out of your butt and look up patience. Even if I started your cover right when you requested it, it's quite rare to finish one in less than about two or three hours, especially if the story's on a topic I'm not too good at.

Actually want your cover? To show that you've read all of this, please include your favorite color in your request. BTW, if you'd like to chat with me personally, please put your cover request in the comments and put all off-topic conversation in private messages. That way, I don't have to go into chat history to find the request. Instead, I can just come back here. ;)

Want it quickly? The more details you provide, the better a job I will do and the faster you'll get your cover, most likely. If you just say, "The name's Belladonna, and it's a romance," that leaves so much unanswered. What type of romance? Drama? Comedy? Do you want your name on there? What type of tone do you want? Any font preferences? Throw in anything specific you can think of, and it will help me immensely.

Don't like your cover? Let me know! I'll do some edits if it's minor, and if you want a major change, I'll probably just redesign the cover completely. I will always leave your cover's editing window open until you confirm it if I can, so if you want changes, now's the time to ask - I won't get offended.
