Hi, I'm a Nigerian woman. My name doesn't matter. Or maybe at the end of this - it will. Most people don't know anything about me, my background, or where I come from.  I am a black woman and to some people - my voice doesn't matter just because I have more melanin than they might have. Or because I look different than they do. It wasn't fair what they did to George Floyd. Or Breonna Taylor. Or Rayshard Brooks. What if I'm next. What if you are? I have a lot of black friends and I won't be surprised if one of them died at the hands of a police officer. I won't be surprised - I would be angry, hysterical, and flat-out confident that I would find every way to get there name out there. I would be mad if I became famous, for being shot and killed by a white cop. Not that I fully believe in ACAB - I believe that some cops can be kind and have compassion. But, most of the police force is corrupt and we have to find a way to either filter out the racist police from the good ones or eliminate the police altogether. And I believe we've started on the right path.
