Many knew of Seokmin, he was kind, always wore a bright smile, and would always help others out. He was just the perfect guy but many wondered why the boy was still single? He was in college, he had many friends, good looking, made many jokes, and to top it all off, he was a top student at his university.
To be honest, it was just because Seokmin wanted to wait until he could find the perfect girl. He didn't want to force love, he just wanted it to come naturally. Many of his friends had tried to set him up on blind dates or play matchmaker but Seokmin was never interested in any of the girls that were on the dates.
You had heard of Seokmin, who wouldn't? He was one of the school's top students and was also the cutest. You, however, had never talked to the boy in your life. Maybe a few glances here and there but a word had never come out his mouth when he would look at you and it was the same with you.
You were also a top student in your university, getting honored during events, getting good grades, etc. Many of your peers being envious of you. However, what caught you off guard during your college life was how expensive everything was now.
You worked multiple part-time jobs to help you out with money, most of your money going towards your apartment, and overpriced college books. You were exhausted but there was one job that you absolutely loved which was walking dogs.
You absolutely loved walking dogs, it was tough at times but you didn't mind at all. You would also get a decent amount of money from walking four to five cuties.
"Ready to go Honey?"
A small bark came from the Yorkshire terrier that was wagging her tail as she hopped up, a small laugh coming from your lips as you placed a leash on the small dog. Usually, Saturdays meant a lot of students and elderly would ask you to walk their dogs but today you had only one dog which you weren't complaining about.
The two of you headed out, the sun shining down on you and others at the park. Many smiled and waved at you, saying hi to you and the small dog that you were walking.
It was a hot afternoon, many students were out for a run or a walk with friends. Family's were having picnics and hangouts. You had decided to take a seat on the grass with Honey, taking off her leash so she was able to play in the grass.
You had walked Honey a couple of times, trusting the small pooch to not runoff. You sat cross-legged on the grass as you watched her roll around on the grass, barking at birds and squirrels from time to time which caused you to laugh at her behavior.
But everything seemed to shift when the dog suddenly bolted, your eyes widening as you quickly got up, leash in hand. "Honey!"
Many looked your way as you ran past many people, getting tired because of the heat and how fast Honey was going. "Come back here or else your owner is going to kill me." You mumbled as you ran right behind the dog.
You dodged many kids and students, not wanting to run into them as you chased down this dog.
However, you quickly went to a halt as you noticed a boy and a couple of his friends quickly pick up Honey. You walked up to them, out of breath.
"I-I'm so sorry! She just ran off like that..." You panted softly, running your fingers through your hair before looking up at the group of boys.
You were shocked to see Seokmin and a couple of his friends, Seungkwan and Jihoon. Your eyes widened a little at the group of boys, Seokmin only chuckling at what you had said.
"Y/n right?" He said softly, smiling down at you as you nodded.
"That's me."
"It's really no big deal, we saw you running so we just decided to help out a bit." He replied as he passed Honey right over to you, Honey licking your cheek once she was in your arms.
"Thank you, I didn't think she'd run off like that." You said as your cheeks got a little red, a bit embarrassed thinking that you looked a bit crazy running after a small dog.
"It's really not a problem, the dogs lucky that she's cute," Seokmin said as he leaned down a bit before cooing at Honey before taking a look at you.
Seokmins eyes widen a little, taken aback by how you looked. Although the two of you had never really talked, he was in awe with how good looking you were.
"Is something wrong?" Your voice was quiet as you noticed Seokmins friends were giggling next to him, your eyebrow-raising in confusion.
"O-Oh well, I um, just wanted to ask if you wanted to maybe go for a coffee later on? Y-You're just really pretty." Now it was Seokmin's turn to turn a bit red, his friends watching as the two of you interacted.
You were shocked to hear his words, of course, you knew about Seokmin waiting for the one and never asking girls out on dates.
You cleared your throat as you looked up at his and smiled, "I'd love too."
Seokmin let out a breath of relief, quickly taking out his phone so he was able to get your number. A shy smile was now plastered on your face as you told him, a silly grin on his face as well when he placed his phone back into his pocket.
"I'll see you later?" Seokmins' tone was a bit questioning but you laughed at him and nodded, holding Honey close to your chest.
"I'll see you later." You bid your goodbye before walking off, hearing Seokmin's friends cheering him on.
Looking down at your chest, you had noticed that Honey had called asleep, a small smile on your face as you slowly pet her head.
"Thanks, Honey."
