Hikari

"Took you long enough to get here," Whiteout said grumpily. He was sitting behind a huge desk staring at me. The room was clean and simple, but it was huge.

"My apologies, father," I said, bowing my head.

He laughed, and I straightened, confused. Why would he be laughing?

"As formal as ever. Dark Cold will now escort you to your room."

Aku came in and I followed him to my new room. It had a bed, a dresser, and a small bathroom, but other than that, it was empty.

"Make yourself at home," he said, and I set my suitcase with my costume in it down on the ground near the foot of my bed.

"Oh, and by the way, Hikari," he said. "Dinner is served at 7, and it's up to you what time you go to bed. Dad will be giving you lots of training, though, so be prepared."

I nodded. "Got it."

Three days had passed already. It was now 8 o'clock on my third day here at my father's agency, and my father was taking me on my first patrol.

"You heard about the Hero Killer Stain, correct?" he asked me as we walked down the street. I was finally wearing my hero costume, and it felt good to feel like I was an actual hero.

I nodded. "Of course. He's killed and injured many pro heroes, and no one can ever find him and arrest him."

My father nodded. "Good. We're going to Hosu."

I frowned. That was where the last attack had happened from Stain. "Are we trying to capture Stain?" I asked.

"Yes," Whiteout said.

Suddenly there was a huge explosion a few streets away and me and my father started running.

"This isn't good," my father muttered. "An explosion is unheard of around here. It must be the work of villains."

Then, out of the blue, a villain dropped down from the sky in front of us and growled. I stared at it.

"I-Is that a Nomu?" I asked.

A huge, high-temperature shot fired from my father's arm, and the Nomu screamed and collapsed, steaming.

My father grinned. "It was a Nomu. C'mon, if there's more of them, the public is going to be in danger." He pointed to the building on fire, in which the fire was starting to spread and more explosions were going off. "Those explosions might've trapped people. We need to get over there, and fast."

We started running towards the buildings, I on my father's heels. People were crowding the streets, running away from the buildings.

A woman in front of us stumbled and fell, and while my father ran past her, I stopped to help her up.

"Thank you," she said.

I nodded. "Please, hurry. We don't know how dangerous it is, but the farther away you are, the better."

"Hikari!" Whiteout shouted.

"My apologies, I need to go," I said to her, and I ran after my father. Then, suddenly, my phone buzzed. I pulled it out and looked down.

It's Midoriya's location, I thought. Oh no. Something must be wrong.

I turned to my father. "Go help the people near the explosion. I need to do something."

"Don't give me orders, Hikari!" he growled, but I was already running in the other direction.

"My friend could be in danger!" I shouted. "Just go!"
