Well, here I am. 25 years old and still living at home. Anyways, I'm Redland. In our tiny 2 bedroom apartment, there's me, my brother, my sister, my mom, and that son of a bitch I call my dad. He's.. different. And not the good kind either. As are my brother and sister. My mom and I seem to be the only normal ones in this 'house.' Long and comlicated story that I really don't have time to tell.

My dad. The sickest, most twisted 'man' to ever walk the face of this very planet. He's.. unstable, I guess you could call him. After his first wife divorced him, he basically went bonkers. I don't blame her for leaving his sorry ass. I would too but I can't. I'm his daughter.

My mom. The victim. He beats her. Physically at first. Beating her harder with every punch. Then, when he thinks she's had enough, sexually. He ties her down, immobilizes her, drugs her, and everything else under the sun. Literally.

My brother, James.. Stupid. Idiotic. Lost without dad. He told me that he wants to find a girl and be just like dad with her and his little girl. God be with her soul when she's here. He practically copies my dad when it comes to torture. Just with different people. Me and my sister.

My sister, Autmn. My world. My only biological family that is actually sane anymore. She's one hell of a fighter. She's 20. Tough little chick. She's had to nearly shoot my dad before. I wouldn't blame her if she did. We could call it self defense. But they wouldn't believe us, call us crazy, and take us all.

Lane. Bestest friend anyone could ever wish for. We've been close since I can remember. He's like my brother. Unbiological we'll call it. Since I can't stand my family, I'm ususally with him. Dinner. Thanksgiving. Even on Christams. That's how close we really are. His family can't stand me. Calling me a little rat. Bum. Desperate. That's true but desperate to get out. That's it. Nothing more.
