To fill stuff in I wanna say in the time from Zeni's training to the final selection Zeni had a major change of happiness whenever Zeni will be on a mission he will be completely concentrated and ready he will be prepared to yell at someone if needed, you will see when Zeni makes friends he is just a innocent kind person when he's not serious doing mission's and etc.

I just wanna say there are 7 forms to the Hunter breathing style

Today is the final selection

No one's POV: Zeni heads out to the final selection after saying goodbye to his grandpa

Time Skip to where the final selection takes place

Zeni walks up the stairs and then a few people stare at him in shock then shortly after 2 girls come in and welcome everyone saying "It's time to start the final selection"

Time skip to when final selection has started

Zeni walks around casually seeing other people getting attacked by demons suddenly a demon jumps out towards Zeni but Zeni easily sliced its head off then Zeni said "Breath of hunting: first form, hunters calmness"

Then said out the words "Breath of hunting: Second form, Deaths Door"

From then forward Zeni causally killed strong and weak demons with ease

2 days later

Zeni is tired and bored of killing demons

So Zeni says "Breath of hunting: fifth form, hidden smell"

(This move gets rid of the smell of the person and puts an illusion on all demons nearby making the person blend in with the area works with humans as well)

Now Zeni climbs up the nearest tree and falls asleep while still using his breathing technique

Each night he wakes up a bit and stops using his technique and goes out killing demons then repeats it
On the 6th night he was woken up by a person who was at the bottom of the tree the person wasn't looking for him in particular the person was just looking for someone then Zeni jumped down saying "hello, what are you doing?" With the person responded "I just wanna stay with someone my base was over run it's only 1 more day please I won't be a trouble please?" Zeni said "Fine, if you are gonna stay with me you gotta do one thing if you don't wanna get me caught or you! Also tell me your name mine is Zeni"
The guy responded "Sure what is it also my name is Dream" then Dream gets a good look at Zeni seeing how he is dressed seeing Zeni carry 2 katana's a mask a katana holster his oversized black cloth shirt also his black weird pants and his footwear but doesn't care Zeni says "You will see just climb up this tree" Dream says "Ok" both Zeni and Dream climb up the tree once on top Zeni said "lay down we going to sleep at once" Dream said "Sure" Dream lays down and then Zeni does behind him Zeni says "If you wanna stay here you gotta sleep like this" Dream said "Like th-" Zeni puts his arms over Dream and pulls him closer then Zeni then Zeni and Dream both blush a little Dream says "This is fine just don't try anything please this is weird." Zeni said "I know" Zeni also says "Breath of hunting: fifth form, hidden smell" then they both fall asleep

End of final selection

Zeni wakes up first then seeing Dream on his chest and Dream being very close to Zeni then Zeni blushed and woke Dream up they both headed to the finishing area now they saw only 2 other people who survived Zeni picked his ore and Dream picked his then them both parted ways Zeni starts to head home.
