"I don't know where to start again." I sighed in mid-air as I leaned my back on the bench while waiting for a bus. The weather was really isochronously blending with my emotions. The sky was getting dim so I closed the book I was reading. I like reading it most of the time, it is entitled "Love over Hatred."

"Stop knowing. The more you know, the more it hurts." A stranger said out of the blue as I was sticking my earphones to my ears. I stopped for a moment and looked at him.

"Is something bothering on you lady?" He asked with his stern voice as he smiled.

"Ah n-nothing." I said as I looked away while increasing the volume of my music.

"It seems like your world is in madness." He said as he watched the cars pass and fade in the distance.

"W-what? Sayin' something?" I uttered while narrowing my eyebrows at him as I detached my right earphone bud to my shoulder.

"You're in great pain." He mumbled with no hesitation. He sat beside me as he tapped his forefinger on his glasses.

"How'd you know?" Are you a psycho? I derisively spoke at him.

"Exactly. I'm a psychologist." He smirked.

"Not obvious. Your nameplate said so. Harris Soigné, psychologist?" I pointed out on his golden nameplate matched with his white uniform.

He looked at it and smiled.

"Oh! You've noticed. So, if something's bothering on you, you can visit to my clinic. I've been there for almost a year." he handed me with his calling card and even winked. His hand hung for seconds in the air. I looked at it with no interest.

"Come on, take it. Maybe it can help. Maybe not now, but soon." He said with induction.

"Sorry, but I'm okay. I don't need a psychologist to meddle with my woes. I have my business." I said as I stood up.

"Alright then, may I know your name?" He said as he looked at me without meeting his face.

"Natalie." I timidly answered where I glanced at him for a second.

I saw in my peripheral view that he nodded. He even stood up and waved at the bus that was coming towards us.

"Only one passenger available, sir." The conductor said to him as I got into the bus.

"Okay." He stopped and stood at the sidewalk as he looked at me.

He even smiled and waved at me as I sat near the window, his figure slowly fading in the distance. This weird man really has the guts to interlope with my thoughts today.

"You'll just ignore me? Is this what you want, huh?" Adam asked with his baritone voice while grasping my wrist in madness.

I almost forgot that he is standing parallel next to mine wearing his darkest gaze at me. Being stumped-footed in my place without a blink brought me to reality. I gulped hard searching for my voice to save myself but it failed me to find it.

"Can't say something? Fine! From now on, you'll never see me again." he let go of his hand on me and walked away.

"W-wait, I did not." I murmured with a repressing tone that stopped him and glanced over me.

"What?! You'll just cry there and doesn't even have a plan to leave?" he vented with irritation.

I bite my lips for me to muffled my sobs even harder. I don't have a choice rather to say something.

"M-maybe you're right that this is just the beginning of an end. I must find myself too. I told you with no pressure in getting in touch with me or not. But now, perhaps you just don't want to let me in eversince." I stuttered without meeting him in the eyes. Playing to be brave. For me, meeting him in the eyes is a crime and it embeds me with excruciating pain.

"What a foolish thought! You're a great liar!" he smirked at me with an amusement.

"Why? Do you think if I try again you'll find my reasons acceptable? It's not, right? That's why I didn't even waste a time to lend my reasons to you for me to stay in this doomed second time around." I fervidly answered him.

"You'll regret this!" he stood stout as his lips turned into a grim line.

"No. I'll prove you wrong, b-babe." I uttered in sideways.

"Don't call me babe. We're off!" he clenched his jaw.

"See? Your actions speak itself. You know what, if a man trully loves the woman he will trully win her heart. He will give her a persistent and not insisting love. We'll get things out of this and let just time pass as by. Keep safe, always. You'll never know how much I care for you to the point that you were so messed in my system, remember that Adam." I smiled at him as the liquid dropped from my eye that is now drooling into my cheek.

Again, tears fell to my book which I gripped for minutes. I looked at it and wiped it out with a realization tinted with my dumb brain. I gently trailed my fingers to the back part of the book especially to the name printed on it.

"Harris Soigné." I said it with a skeptical thought.

The only author of "Love over Hatred." My eyes widened in shocked and my heart beats fast like hell.

A sudden squeak on the bus I'm into and turned upside down with a huge impact on it. Blood. I just found myself flooded with my own blood. Wherefore, everything will be went black.

I think my death bed is calling me, not now please.
