Paul's POV:

Walking into the station,he was greeted by his subordinates returning the greetings,he moved on to his office welcoming the Woody scent of the air freshener,he could see files upon files mounted up on his desk sighing he got to work on them.
Half way through, noting it was already almost time for lunch,he started to clear his desk for a bit ,muttering to himself about how much he hates paperwork,he personally preferred to be out in the open air not cooped up inside his office doing nothing other than going over files for submission.

Just few minutes to lunch,he was about to call Freddie when he heard the commotion outside perking up his interest, he stood up and got out of his office wanting to do something other than sit down.
Sometimes he came outside to inspect his officers preferring to watch them work rather than interfere.
In his line of work,he had learned to always steel his emotions, given his work he had found out that people were not usually what they seemed and that you had to read in between the lines whenever you were taking a statement down or interrogating people.

The sight he met was as expected,it was usually someone wailing, used to this scene he observed quitely listening to the frantic woman before him,her words were so low you have to strain to hear through her sobs.
She was middle-aged and beautiful, she looked composed even while she was crying, watching her carefully trying to place more detail on her ,he soon tuned out of her conversation and only came about when his officers all gave shouts of exclaimation simultaneously,he moved forward so that he could hear their conversation to ascertain why they had to exclaim so loudly.

When they saw him they saluted and after taking her statement told her to have her seat in the waiting area. They then proceeded to explain the situation to him, expecting to hear the normal cases that was associated with a woman,he wasnt prepared for what he heard.
Her daughter had been missing for three days now and she only saw it fit now to report the case, according to her the child was just 11 years old.
He stared at the woman with non-chalance because he figured if she could take 3 days to report the case then it means it wasn't as serious as they thought it was.
He still did not like this situation because to him three days was a long time to report a case of kidnapping .

Though it wasn't ususual to have cases of kidnapping but this particular case involved a little girl and his instincts told him they were dealing with more than they could see yet, because according to her no one has called to demand for ransom.
Sending one of his female officers over to her, with strict instructions to get every little detail that she could using their own questionnaires,he walked back into his office noting that lunch was almost over and that if he wanted to get something for himself he had to move fast.

About 30 minutes later, after he had gone for his break,he walked into the station and wasn't surprised to see that the lady had already gone.
Of course, he reasoned most people found it uncomfortable to stay in a police station to say the least.
What with the police dragging criminals inside,or the stream of people coming and going,it was never quiet and that much he was grateful...
