Chapter 9 - A Quest and Evil Grows Stronger

Y/N: "Anyway, we need to figure out what to do about that guy."

Skye: "I don't know what to do anymore, he always escapes when we fight."

Y/N: "How does he escape?"

Skye: "He teleports, that is the only constant power he shows, every fight he has different powers."

Y/N: "Different power every universe while still having one that's constant, why? ... Wait! every time you went to a new universe you kept the power that you chose right?"

Skye: "Yes, the power you choose when you receive the gamer power stays with you through every universe, why?"

Y/N: "Then that would explain, he probably is a gamer like us."

Skye: "That still doesn't explain how he gets to every universe I go if his power is to teleport how does he go to a different universe and how does he knows which one I am at? Also why does he never do anything to the universe I was in, but says that he wants to destroy it?"

Y/N: "Wait, he doesn't do anything, that means that he is after you specifically."

Skye: "But I don't even know him, why would he be after me? I have lots of question and no answers, I just want to enjoy this second chance that I got, after..."

While remembering her past she starts crying, and seeing such a cheerful person like her in this state I instinctively went to hug her, trying to comfort her I say.

Y/N: "Hey, don't worry it will be fine, I don't know what you've been through but try to forget it I know it might be hard, but you're not alone, I'm here with you,

Skye: *Sniff* "Thanks, I needed that hug and those words."

Y/N: "Do you want to just stay inside for now?"

Skye: "If you don't mind."

Y/N: "We're staying inside then."  'I might not know her for a long time or what she's been through but from this I can see that her death was not simple, and if this guy is after her I will need to find out why and stop him for good'   "What do you want to do?"

Skye: "Let's watch something, and can you cuddle me? I really enjoyed that hug so..."

Y/N: *Chuckles* "Alright, let's go to the sofa then."

Skye: "Yay!"

So we went to the sofa and watched some shows for the rest of the day and as time went on she was starting getting cheerful again bringing a smile to my face.

Skye: "Hey Y/N."

Y/N: "Yeah?"

Skye: "Thank you, I mean you barely even know me and yet you were worried about me."

Y/N: "Of course I would be worried, we're friends now."

Eventually morning came and we decided that it was better for us to leave.

Y/N: "Come on now, we have a mission."

Y/N: "Okay... I wasn't expecting that."

Skye: "Look at that reward!"

Y/N: "And that title, what can it do?"

Skye: "I don't know but I definitely want the title of queen."

Y/N: "For it to have such a big reward, it's not gonna be an easy task."

Skye: "I don't expect it to be easy, I like a challenge."

Y/N: *Chuckles* "Alright, let's go try to find him."

When we headed out we noticed the huge crowd in the middle of the slums, heading there we see Ryuko in her pajamas so we approach them.

Y/N: "Hey."

Skye: "What's going on?"

Ryuko: "They set traps all over the city that we need to pass to get to class on time or else we get expelled."

Mako: "And there's only three hours to go until our first class, Ryuko!"

Ryuko: "The people at this school sure love to hear themselves talk. Alright, fine. You're on. I'm gonna bust through every last one of the traps you bozos made!"

Gamagoori: "AS YOU WISH! STUDENTS COMMENCE COMMUTE! FORWARD, MARCH!"

And everyone started running, except for me and Skye who just waited until everyone had left including Gamagoori so that no one would notice how we got there.

Skye: "So... what is your plan on getting there?"

Y/N: "We can use you portals."

Skye: "I can't use them in the same dimension."

Y/N: "When you come back to a previous universe, do you keep the stats you had in that dimension or the new ones."

Skye: "The one you had before."

Y/N: "Then we can use your portal go to a different universe and come back to this one, but up there."

Skye: "Oh yeah that's a good idea, but what if someone sees us."

Y/N: "I doubt anyone will be paying attention."

With that she put a portal down we went through having our stats reset and then came back with our past stats, but now we were up there, using my [Observation Detection] I could see that no one was looking just as I expected.

Y/N: "See, I told you no one would notice."

Skye: "Okay, you're officially a genius in my book."

Y/N: "Come on, let's use the time we have to look around and see if he's around."

After a while of looking and not seeing him anywhere we went to class so we don't get expelled, and after a while Ryuko and Mako come through the wall right as Aikuro called her name, after class me and Skye went looking for him again but he didn't show up which made me wonder where is he.

~THIRD PERSON POV~

Somewhere far from the academy two mysterious figures can be seen talking in a room on a giant tower.

???: "What is your proposition?."

???: "It's simple you provide me with what I want and I can get you power, more than you could ever imagine, and things you couldn't understand."

???: "And what is it that you want?"

???: "Just an outfit more specific a kamui."

???: "How do you know about kamuis?

???: "I have my ways, and said ways have some correlation to the power that I can provide you, now, do we have an agreement Mistress Ragyo?"

Ragyo: "If you can handle a kamui then we have an agreement, Dario Nox."

Dario: "You won't be disappointed Mistress."
