[Eclis's POV]

A day has passed since the baptism of fire which Frei described as "utterly dreadful and outright horrendous".

We stepped outside of the cave, stretched our hands in the air, and basked ourselves under the warm embrace of the unusual bright sunlight. I let out a long yawn followed by a sneeze from out of nowhere.

"Oh, bless you Eclis." Frei took out a cloth she ripped from the one Eiros used for her when she got ill and reached it out for me.

"Huh...?" it took me seconds on why she's reaching the cloth out to me. "Oh...! Um, it's fine, but thank you..."

"You must be really exhausted after staying up all night tending my sickness, huh... How wholesome," says Frei as she shows her gratitude through her sincere smile.

Umm... Yeeeah...

[What really happened...]

"Eiros... Stop, this is the...fourth herb you've burned. Even I feel so...bizarrely weird.

"*hic* If the punishment for a crime is but a cost of one's wealth, then who's to say that law is equal when that said law obviously exists solely for the lower class?"

"I... Wha...?"

Using the leftover herbs and fish from yesterday, Frei and Eiros made a simple yet delicious breakfast together. Then, we rested for a bit before preparing ourselves and after, we bid our farewells to this cave. It's only been a few days but it does feel a bit sentimental saying goodbye to it.

Once again, we march again to the snowy overworld, hoping to reach our next destination within this day.

The trip's been bizarrely quiet, so Frei thought of breaking the deafening silence with a little chit-chat. "Eiros, when do you plan to leave us alone?" she asked nicely with a smile, though her words suggest otherwise.

Eiros looked flustered. He replied with the same formality as Frei's. "Come now, prinsesa, are you still going to give me the cold shoulder after all our friendship bonding at the cave?"

"I am more than grateful for your act of kindness. That is an irrefutable fact. However, Eclis and I will be more than fine from henceforth." Frei rebutted with a stricter voice.
