??? POV

"Lumiose never sleeps..." I mumbled, observing the cars and trucks zooming by on the busy street. I sighed and released my Gengar. "Am I right, Umbra?"

"I would think you are, Lucille," he said with his trademark wicked smirk. I scowled, my apathic expression deepening into a frown.

"You know I don't like to be called that," I said sternly.

"That's why I call you by that name," the mischievous apparition said, chuckling. I smirked; my Pokemon could make any mood lighthearted in a blink of an eye. I increased my slow pace to a jog, my violet eyes flashing with competition as Umbra matched my pace.

We looked at each other and in a flash, we had taken off. We knew the route by heart, through every nook and cranny on the way. We turned onto another noisy sidewalk and were greeted by a surprised couple. We barely managed to skid out of their way and continue our course at the same pace. The flustered couple looked behind them at us and we flashed them both devilish smirks while we cackled in delight. We turned into one more alley and reached our destination; the Alley Bar.

As we walked in, some of the chatting people turned their heads to look at me as I walked to the ordering desk. I guess I did draw some attention; I had a black tee shirt on under a very thin, dark grey vest, tattered, navy blue jeans, and jet black combat boots. I glared fiercely at them, causing the bystanders to quickly look away and return to their conversations. People and Pokemon have always said that I have very unnerving eyes, like that of a ghost. Kind of ironic, seeing as I can speak to Ghost and Dark-type Pokemon.

"The usual," I said as I handed the bartender some Pokedollars. This was a regular hangout for outlaws and thieves. While I wasn't necessarily an outlaw... Let's just say I wasn't well-liked by the police. This spot is a great place to catch criminals as well. A few moments later, the bartender came back with four strong beers in hand. I took them all and found a booth, releasing my final two Pokemon: Darcy the Sneasel and Verde the Shiftry. Umbra, Darcy, Verde, and I all took a drink as we sat down.

"So, did y'all find anything interesting?" I asked, taking a sip of my drink.

Nope," Umbra said.

"Not today, Lucy," Darcy said.

Someone robbed a small boutique, but the police already got him," Verde said, leaning back in his seat.

"Hmm. Hopefully we'll find something tomorrow," I said. "After all, the crime rate of this place is crazy high, and we need money." I worked for the Looker Bureau, although I didn't come around much except for having a place to sleep and delivering criminals. I didn't sleep much anyways. Looker paid me for turning criminals in to him, where he would turn them in to the police. The police are lazy here, anyway; Looker's the only one who's remotely good at police work, besides me, my brother, and Emma, Looker's assistant.

We quietly chattered on until we were done with our drinks and then set off towards the Looker Bureau. We blended into the shadows easily so no one would notice us, and I put my headphones on my ears, listening to "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" by Panic! At The Disco. About 15 minutes later, we reached the eccentric but low-key building that was the Looker Bureau.

The four of us walked in, causing a small bell to ring and reverberate throughout the structure. A moment later, my brother, Shane, walked in through the small living room. The Looker Bureau was almost like a house; it had a kitchen, a living room, restrooms, and bedrooms, along with some spaces used for police and detective work. "Hello, little brother," I said.

"Hello," he said.

"What've you been doing recently?" I asked.

"Just the usual detective stuff."

I peeked into the living room to see the television paused on a Super Smash Bros. screen with a head of brown hair peeking out from the closet. I raised my eyebrows with suspicion. "You home alone?"

"Yep, Looker left for something in Unova, as you know," he said, slightly nervous, causing his voice to falter.

"Oh really? No one over besides Emma? No one at all?" Before he could reply, I walked into the room, yanked the closet door open, and pulled the brunette girl out, causing her to emit a startled squeak. I picked her up and held her in the air by her waist. For my size and being only 22, I was strong, mostly from catching criminals and training with my Pokemon.

"Hello there," I said to the girl.

Her eyes were wide with fright. "H-hello m-ma'am."

Shane sighed. "Lucy, can you put my girlfriend down please?" He asked.

"Depends," I said as I returned my attention to the woman I was holding up. "Have you two done anything?"

"N-no m-ma'am, only just cuddling and kissing," the girl said. I contemplated if she was lying before deciding that she was telling the truth and setting her down. I grinned down at the petite girl.

"I'm Lucy, Shane's badass older sister. Which means don't wrong him unless you want to get your ass kicked into outer space and meet Deoxys."

She held out her hand. "K-Kristen, Shane's girlfriend."

I shook her outstretched hand. "Shane, don't worry, I'm not opposed to you two being alone together, just don't do anything that would make me have to beat you two up. Also, you two should get to bed. You've been up way too long."

"Kris, you do not want to get beaten up by her," Shane said, shaking his head side-to-side vigorously. I chuckled and headed up the stairs to the bedrooms.

There, I found Emma struggling not to burst out in laughter. "The Deoxys thing was hilarious," she said, grinning.

I smirked and fist-bumped the second-in-command. "It's true, though. I'm going to bed, see you in the morning." I walked into one of the bedrooms and locked the door, letting out my Pokemon whom I had returned to their Pokeballs during the meeting with Kristen. Darcy took her usual place by the window sill, Verde made a bed of leaves, Umbra burrowed under the covers at the foot of the bed, and I lied down in the bed.

"Good night," we all whispered. Today might not have been very successful, but it was fun.

7 hours later, Thursday, 10:30 AM

I awoke to Umbra shaking me, yelling, "Get up!" I smirked and roused myself from my slumber.

"Alright, alright, I'm awake, jeez," I said as I checked my clock. "Wow, I slept late."

"That's why I was shaking you yelling at you to get up," the Gengar deadpanned.

"Psh, you were barely shaking me. I doubt your puny body could push me off the bed anyways," I teased him. His expression changed to a wide smirk as he used Psychic to throw me off the bed. I groaned in pain, making him laugh. "Alright, you win," I said as I got dressed.

Once we were ready to go, we walked downstairs to find Shane on the computer, munching on a Poptart. "Morning," I said as I got a breakfast of berries from the refrigerator. I saw Shane lean closer to the monitor, his eyes narrowing. He must've found a good case.

He suddenly grinned, and then started to take notes on his pad. "Someone robbed a stone emporium, and the police aren't there yet. It's nearby, and we can get him easily. Finish your breakfast later, let's go." I quickly hopped out of my seat and ran to the door.

With that, we ran into the oh-so-wild streets of Lumiose City.

-----------
Hello, and welcome to this story! I've had this idea floating around in my head for a while, and I couldn't really write on TCM because I couldn't get this tale out of my head to concentrate on TCM. Anyways, I'm not sure whether to make this a fully-fledged story or not. If I do, it'll be a side story, kind of like Random Thoughts; I'll update when I get ideas. It'll be shorter than TCM, that's for sure.

UPDATE: This book is now a one-shot book. It won't be just Pokemon one-shots, it can be about anything.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this chapter. As always, stay sasstastic!
