"Soo Dean?" Sam asked.

"What?" Dean grunted.

"Umm... Cas?" Sam asked carefully.

"What about Cas?" Dean played it off as nothing.

"What's going on between you two?" Sam asked while he cleaned his gun.

"What do you mean? We're not fighting" Dean told Sam confused at what he was meaning.

"You two just seem close" Sam stated.

"Well yeah, we've gone through some tough shit. You get close to people during that shit. Look at us." Dean explained.

"No, not like us close" Sam hinted at Dean and Cas being a couple.

"Pfft what are you talking about?" Dean blew it off.

"Do I have to say it?" Sam whined.

"Yes, you do Sam" Dean was starting to get frustrated.

"Are you and Cas together? There! I said it!" Sam spit out.

"No? Are you crazy??" Dean gave Sam a sour look. Cas was just around the corner and he heard it all. I guess there goes my chances, Cas thought to himself. Cas came out of the shadow and pretend he didn't hear the Winchester boys.

"Hey Cas, how much did you hear?" Sam asked.

"What? Oh I heard nothing. I was in the washroom" Cas told them.

"Oh okay" Dean swallowed. Dean felt guilty about what he said even though Castiel says he didn't hear anything, Dean didn't believe him.

"Okay well i'm going to do some research at the library about this case" Sam told them.

"Okay, we'll do some research here" Dean told Sam before leaving.

After a few hours on the computer Dean couldn't find anything and Sam didn't contact Dean. Cas fell asleep with a book on the table and his face in it. Dean couldn't help but to chuckle to himself. He also couldn't help but to notice how much he cared about Cas.

"No No!! HE'S LYING!! HE DIDN'T MEAN THAT!!" Cas yelled in his sleep and it shocked and worried Dean. Dean ran to Cas' side and shook him up.

"Cas? Cas? It's okay. It was just a nightmare" Dean woke the ex-angel.

"No, it wasn't. It was me fighting with myself again" Cas spilled.

"What are the voices in your head fighting about now?" Dean made a joke out of it.

"Dammit Dean! It's not funny" Cas gave him shit.

"Okay okay, what's wrong?" Dean asked Cas truly considered about him.

"Everything! Emotions suck! No wondering human kill themselves or each other" Cas opened his opinion.

"Whoa whoa whoa, you know you can talk about it. No need to do something you can't take back" Dean thought Cas was maybe thinking about ending himself.

"I have to" Cas looked at Dean. Dean pulled Cas into his arms tightly.

"No you're not" Dean refused to let Cas die.

"Dean, I can't. I would be living a lie"

"Cas, no, don't" Dean warned him. Cas was feeling heart broken.

"Okay, fine." Cas said dropping his head and walked over to the bed. Cas hid his face in his pillow, hoping Dean wouldn't hear him crying. Cas was very wrong, Dean heard him and sat with him.

"Cas, what's wrong? Come on you can tell me anything" Dean rubbed Cas' back in comfort. Cas just couldn't hold it in any longer. He pried himself away from the pillow and faced Dean. Cas touched Dean's face softly then kissed him. Dean was in shock at first then started to kiss back.

"That's what's wrong" Cas told Dean. Dean looked at Cas confused.

"Well you started it" Dean comment thinking Cas was talking about the kiss.

"I didn't start it" Cas argued.

"Yeah, ya did. You kissed me" Dean argued back.

"No Dean, what's wrong is I've fallen for you...and you don't see me in that way...you don't care" Cas choked out.

"Cas, you got this all wrong" Dean realized Castiel heard him and Sam talking earlier.

"How? I heard you and Sam" Cas' voice started to shake with heartache.

"What am I going to say to Sam? Yeah, I fell for an angel who isn't an angel anymore and he doesn't know that I want to kiss him so bad that it hurts and that everytime I look into his eyes I drown but his voice lifts me up." Dean spit out faster and faster.

"Is that true?" Cas asked as he wrapped his mind around what he just said.

"Yes it is! I have no reason to lie to you" Dean's voice gave out as he poured his soul to Cas.

"Dean...I didn't know...i'm sorry I ever doubt you" Cas apologized.

"Well Cas, I shouldn't have let it eat me up this much. I thought you didn't care" Dean told him honestly.

"Oh Dean, I care about you so much. Haven't I shown that to you by now? I rebelled against my brothers and sister, I heard all your prays, I lost my grace and all for what? You Dean, it was all for you. I'm not good with this emotion and feeling stuff but I feel safe with you. I heard this saying, home is where the heart's at. Well Dean, you are home"

Dean couldn't help himself. He kissed Cas and held him close. Cas kissed back with passion and desire. Dean didn't say half the things he wanted to but he was okay with that, baby steps.

"Okay guys, so I found...you two, making out...in my bed?" Sam exclaimed as he walked into the motel room.

"Shit!" Dean yelped.

"So you lied to me?" Sam asked referring to this morning.

"No, no. I didn't. We ummm" Dean didn't know how to explain it.

"We weren't romantically involved until a little bit ago. Dean didn't lie, we weren't involved when you asked" Cas explained it to Sam.

"Sooo Dean, you felt like you couldn't tell me that you like Cas?" Sam questioned Dean.

"We were busy and it never came up" Dean told Sam.

"It came up this morning" Sam stated.

"What Sam? Are you angry?? Pissed?? Disappointed?? Disturbed?? Repulsed?? What is it Sammy?" Dean started to get frustrated with Sam and was preparing himself for the you're kissing a man, that's wrong!! Talk.

"No no no, i'm fine with it Dean. Bobby and I have been waiting for you two to get together." Sam smiled and chuckled.

"Oh thank heavens!" Dean sighed in relief and kissed Cas, not caring that Sam was in the room. Cas couldn't help but to smile as they kissed
