CHAPTER 15 - Jogging

Maze's POV

This is my first time jogging around the neighborhood. This is fun pala. I'll try this again next time.

I am really enjoying the view while listening to some pleasant music. It's so maganda here, and the air is so fresh. Sadly, mag-isa lang ako. Jiyo and Lui are so natatamad kasi it's so early pa raw. But I'm really wide awake, alert, alive, and enthusiastic! Hehe.

Gotta jog! Wohooo!

Since I felt a little tired na, I decided to sit lang muna sa isa sa mga bench dito sa park. Yep, I'm here sa park malapit sa house namin. I can already feel the sun's presence. The sun is rising already. This really feels good.

I don't see a lot of people here. Well, good thing kasi I prefer to jog sa mga places where hindi masyadong madaming tao.

Someone tapped my shoulder kaya nilingon ko 'yon. Oh! It's him!

"Ikaw lang?" Kian asked na hinihingal.

"Yeah." I smiled.

"May I sit beside you?" He asked.

I nodded. "Go ahead." Umurong naman ako to give him space to sit.

"Hindi ka ba natatakot, miss? Mag-isa ka lang na nag-jojogging?" Kian jokingly said.

"Why would I? Baka sila yung mabalian ng bones." He laughed. "How about you?" 

"Hindi ako natatakot noh!" Kian said then rolled his eyes. Tss, defensive.

"I mean, ba't mag-isa ka lang rin?" 

"Natatamad si Yan eh. Tamad kasi yun gumising. Kung pwede nga lang matulog na forever, kaso hindi pwede eh. Isa pa, ayaw niya pang mawala." Kian and I giggled.

"Sila Jiyo and Lui rin." I said.

"Mabuti nalang dahil nandito ka." Kian heaved a deep sigh. "Haaaay!" He stretched his arms and inakbayan ako.

"So smooth Smith, so smooth." I said sarcastically. "Get your hands off me."

"Sus, gusto mo nga 'to eh. Arte pa." Kian said then mas lumapit pa sa akin. Ewww!

"Yuck no! Get your hands off me kasi you're nababalutan ng pawis! Can you punas your sweat first?" I complained.

"No need. Mabango pa rin ako kahit anong gawin ko." Kian raised his eyebrows ng mabilis. He looks like pennywise.

"Tss, no way." I rolled my eyes then stood up. "Anyway, gotta go." I'm hungry na kasi.

"Maze!" He grabbed my arm kaya napaupo ako. Ow, my butt.

"What ba?" I said na nakakunot ang noo. I'm nagugutom na talaga kaya gusto ko nang umuwi.

"Saan ka pupunta?" Kian asked na nagtataka.

"Sa bahay." I replied. Tumayo na ako ulit pero hinila niya nanaman ako pabalik. My gosh! Baka maging super flat na yung butt ko. This man is so nosy! 

"Sandali." 

"What ba? Mister Smith, you better have a good explanation bakit mo ako hinihila. My butt is flat na nga, ifaflat mo pa!" Sigaw ko sa kanya.

"Dito ka lang muna kasi. Do you not pity me? I'm a lonely cat here." He said while pouting. Tss, what a cute ca—mmmmmmm. I said nothing!

"Sorry mister kitty, but this cool kid have t—hey! Why do you keep on hila me ba? And where on earth are we going?!" He dragged me kasi. No answer from him. "Hoy Kian!"
