Chapter 1

'Tic...Toc" chimed the clock at the front of the classroom which I secretly hoped would go faster. In the background our teacher was lecturing us about something that was either of no use or importance to me. I glance out the window next to my single desk at the back only to see a flash of white meet my eyes. I blink in response to the bright flash and turn back to the class. No one else seemed to have noticed the flash. Should I go get my eyes checked or see my 7th psychiatrist I secretly wonder to myself. I keep fidgeting while watching the clock tick by every second.

I found watching a clock tick quite fascinating perhaps entertaining. My train of thought interrupted by the echoing bell that boomed across the school signaling the end of this torture comanly known as school. I stand up pushing back my chair into the wall not far behind my desk. Before our teacher can make a comment I was halfway out the door and headed to my locker without intent of stopping.

I brush through the crowds of students with ease. The lock turns at the flick of my wrist before unlocking. I tug it of and latch it onto the side of my locker. While I shove my books and other necessary school accessories into my bag. Two hands grasp the edge of gray jumper making me jump. I elbow whoever's had just grabbed my shoulders, nose. I turn back and see who I probably just gave a nose bleed. "Oww seriously Jamie" piped Katelyn. She started pouting almost exactly  like a two year old. "I'll buy you a chocolate if you behave," I chucklesj. She immediately nods excitedly. Man bribery always works with her not so much my other friends though.

I yank my bag and hang it on my shoulder while closing my locker. I start to notice a feeling almost like a sixth sense I had since I was little. With each step that I take requiring minimum effort that feeling got stronger. I keep brushing it off though I got quit weary, looking  back every now and then but only when Katelyn had here back turned. We went our separate ways when she crossed the road to her home.

I couldn't ignore the feeling. My head started pounding. I grasp my hands over my ears and run in the direction of my house. I fall into the door. Pushing it into the wall with a crash. I stutter my steps barely standing. My head was pounding, I had a worrying feeling I was struggling with every step. I pull myself up the stairs. I managed to bump into every wall I come across. I stutter into my room almost collapsing. My vision faded between black and my room. I fell grasping onto the gray rug. My vision still fading I was collapse could move, couldn't scream, I was helpless. My vision faded again but this time it didn't come back. I had passed out. Everything was black I could move it was like my sleep paralysis but ten times worse.

Is this what death feels like? I silently wonder to myself not that I could talk anyway. I was scared out of my mind. Should I be? I d-don,t kn-know. J wanted to cry but couldn't for some reason.
