Chapter 01

Drunk

"Congratulations to us Kagaaaaars!" we all shouted and make a group hug.

Senior high school life isn't that easy as you think. We struggle alot. We cried but at the end of the day, we just found ourselves continue fighting.  This level is no joke. Why? Because this is the first step neither the last step.

A first step to experience college life. But in this case, it's just a teaser so that we will know what to do when we are already in college. The subjects we take, were similar to college's first year. That's what they said.

Also a last step to enjoy your life as a high school student. Aside from being a teaser, of course you can also enjoy being a student in senior high school. There is always a time for that. You're still in a minor case after all.

Disadvantage and advantage slapped our sisterhood, Kagars.

Disadvantage because we have our own different course to take and we will not be able in a particular school altogether.

Advantage because finally, just a few steps away and then hello free world na kami.

Kelly was about to throw her graduation hat when I stopped her.

"Isosoli mo pa 'yan! Hindi 'yan sa 'yo uy. Mahiya ka naman!" natatawang puna ko sa kaniya.

Tumatawa naman niyang inilagay ang hat sa isa sa mga upuan na ginamit namin kani-kanina lamang.

Hindi ko na pinahintay si daddy sa 'kin dahil may gagawin pa kami kaunti, hindi rin naman magtatagal at may sundo naman ako. Still a prisoner.

"Picture guys! Picture!" sigaw ng supportive mommy ni Kelly.

I musy say, she's so lucky. We both has a single parent. She has a mom that will surely support her no matter what. Unlike me.

All Kagars gathered on and we did different poses. I'm so happy having a bestfriends like them. If they're not here, I don't know what happened to me earlier than I thought. When I'm in my biggest break down, they're always there for me and made me remember what's the best thing I should do, instead of making myself miserable. They are my shield, my strength, my comfort zone and at the same time my weakness.

Pagkatapos, ay kanya-kanya na kaming ligpit sa mga kalat namin and bid goodbyes to each other.

Sabay kami ni Kelly na lumabas nang school gymnasium papunta sa parking.

"Bebs, what are your plans?" bigla akong napatingin sa kaniya.

I smiled bitterly and shrugged my shoulders. "As if I still have a choice, bebs."

Worriness strucked her face. "Will you be okay to that? I'll try to convince your dad, Li."

I shook my head and looked up at the stars beautifully twinkling.

"You don't have to do that, Kel. You know what my dad is capable with. I'll be okay as long as hindi niya ako pipiliting ipakasal sa kung sino man."

"Bebs naman..."

Tumingin ako sa kaniya at hinawakan ang braso niya. "I'm okay, really." I smiled.

She let a long sigh. "Okay. I give up. Basta, don't forget that I'm always here, we're always here, we're one call away. After all, it's Kagars against everything."

I smiled at that.

Naghiwalay na rin kami pagdating sa parking at sumakay na siya sa sasakyan nila na ang mom niya ang nagmamaneho. Kumaway ako sa kanila at sumakay narin sa sasakyan namin.
