You were getting ready for your shift at Dr Wards office. Dr Ward was a family friend of your family and he offered you a position to work alongside his other assistant winifred in the front office.
Of course today was your first day on the job and you didn't know much about the place, lucky for you winifred was nice enough to help you around the place
"And this Y/N is Mr Bones, Mr bones say hi to Y/N," said winifred
The bone structure didn't do anything, you giggled until you heard winifred say something while scoffing
"No you cannot date Miss L/N mr Bones she is clearly way to young for you," said winifred as she smacked the skeleton and looked back at you "he's such a flirt,"
You giggled making winifred giggle until you heard someone at the door so winifred stuck her head out
"Oh Gilbert here to help Dr Ward?" Asked winifred Gilbert smiled and looked at you and smiled wide at you
"Yes I am and who is this lovely lady?" Asked Gilbert making you blush, you lifted your hand for the boy to shake
"I'm Y/N L/N," you said as you tried to hide your blushing face that has turned into a tomato "I'm the new assistant for Dr Ward,"
"Nice. Well I'm gilbert Blythe And I was wondering if you wouldn't mind going to lunch with me later?" Asked Gilbert as he looked at you
You looked over at winifred who smiled and told you to say yes, after you did that you looked back over at Gilbert
"Sure why not," you said as you smiled Gilbert smiled and looked you up and down
"Great see you at noon," said Gilbert as he walked away with a smirk on his face, winifred walked up to you and squealed
"That's exciting a date with Gilbert Blythe," said winifred "oh kids just grow up so fast," said winifred as she was wiping her face with her hands pretending she was crying until you walked over to your desk
"Winifred were just going to lunch nothing important so please don't make this a big deal," you said as you playfully smacked her with your planner on the arm
"Oh I won't but soon you'll be together and I'll be your bridesmaid at your wedding," said winifred as she walked away to do something
You shook your head and smiled getting back to work... let's just say you were excited for your date with Gilbert Blythe
