Filling the Void

Luv's POV:

Seeing her next to me first thing in the morning gave me so much hope and excitement for what the world still has in store for us- it made me day dream of actually waking up everyday to this. Dani has been through things I could never imagine anyone going through- but to me, it's never really about the actual things she's been through, it's about what she had become after- she might be seeing herself differently, but what I see is someone still so compassionate about the people she cares about- even if at one point they all have neglected her and the things that had happened to her. Someone who tries so hard to put on a mask of being someone she's really not- just because it's easier that way. Someone who fears the idea of love- but badly needs it. She's more than just a beautiful face- beautiful won't even be enough to describe her.

I slowly got off the couch to prepare her something to eat.

I made her a hot cup of coffee, some eggs and pancakes.

After preparing the food I placed it on the table and went to check on her- she's still sleeping- it was around 9 in the morning- I wanted to let her keep sleeping but I have to be in the clinic by 11.

I sat beside her, and removed some of the hair off her face. Unti unti nman siyang gumalaw- dahan dahan niyang idinilat ang mga mata niya-

Luv: "Goodmorning-"

She covered her mouth before she spoke.

Dani: "Sorry, dito pala ako nakatulog-"

Luv: "It's okay, I'm sorry I woke you- I have to be in the clinic in a couple of hours, and I didn't want to leave you sleeping, baka magulat ka pag gising mo-"

Dani: "It's okay, sorry, sobra kitang naabala-"

Luv: "Not at all!, in fact I won't let you go just yet, I prepared us some breakfast, let's eat together?"

She smiled and nodded.

Dani: "Anong oras ka nagising?"

Luv: "Maybe a little more than an hour ago-"

I pulled out a chair for her, and I sat across her.

Dani: "Salamat-"

Luv: "You're welcome, sorry I wanted to prepare more but this is all I have in my kitchen- haven't gone grocery shopping again-"

Dani: "I mean salamat kasi hindi mo ako iniwan kagabi-"

Luv: "Dani, I should be the one thanking you, cause you allowed me to be with you, through that. You shared something I know was difficult for you, thank you for trusting me- and for letting me be there for you."

Dani: "Why are you so good to me?"

Luv: "I already said why, I love you. But I didn't say that to pressure you on giving me answers now- but I just want to let you know."

She smiled and took a bite of her pancake-

Luv:"How is it?"

Dani: "Super sarap! Uhm Luv? May event akong pupuntahan mamaya- it's like an annual event for celebrities, I usually go with Tanner- but I was thinking, maybe you'd want to go with me instead?"

Luv: "I'd love to- I'd love to- but are you okay to go?"

She nodded-

Dani: "Ayokong I pause yung buhay ko dahil lang sa isang taong katulad ni Manuel-"

Luv: "Then I'll be with you tonight- what do I wear?"

Dani: "Formal-"

Luv: "Okay- drink your coffee while it's hot."
