A few days later

Jessie was sitting by the fire pit reading the newspaper in one of her favourite blankets when there was a knock at the door. Jessie confusingly opened it to see a woman in a suit stood there with a few fancy pins.

"How may I help you?" Jessie asked and looked around

"I'm Agent Carter with the ssr. Are you Jessica Barnes?" she said

"Yes I am, nice to meet you Agent Carter, wanna come inside? Looks like it is about to rain" Jessie smiled and the two sat down and spoke

"I have been on the camp where Mr Roger's is" Agent Carter said

"So you know Steve, what did he send you here?" Jessie laughed

"Almost. He wanted to see you tomorrow, there is a new science development we have... Steve will be the first to go through this and he wished for you to be there with him" She smiled

"Okay... how do I get there?" Jessie asked

"I'll pick you up early tomorrow before we get him, then you will be with Howard Stark for the majority of the time I am getting Steve... just be careful Stark flirts a lot" Peggy explained

"I saw his show a few nights back. Hes a smart man" Jessie laughed

"Yes indeed he is. I just wanted to say though, we don't know how this will end so it may be quite terrifying at points but we can assure you, we will try our best" Agent Carter said and Jessie smiled

"Thank you Miss... Agent Carter..." Jessie said and Carter laughed

"Please just call me Peggy. I'll pick you up tomorrow then" she said and stood up

"Sure thing Peggy. Please call me Jessie though. Jessica is usually when I have done something wrong" Jessie laughed and showed Peggy outside.

The next morning

Jessie got up early and wore a nice blue dress with some small rolled up blazer on top. She went to her kitchen and grabbed herself a nice sandwich and glass of water before hearing a knock

"Jessie" the English voice said

"Its open" Jessie shouted from the kitchen. Peggy walked in with a smile

"I would ask if you are ready, but I'll wait till you have finished eating" Peggy laughed

"Thanks Peggy... how is Steve anyway?" Jessie asked as she finished her food and gave Peggy a small biscuit

"Aparently he is just a little nervous so far" Peggy said and the two walked to the car and drove through the city until they got outside a shop.

"Antique shopping huh?" Jessie asked

"Follow me" Peggy said and she walked inside with Jessie following close by. They walked inside and the small bell rang at the top of the door then this woman came out from the back

"Wonderful weather this morning, isn't it?" The woman asked

"Yes, but I always carry an umbrella" Peggy said and Jessie gave a confused look making Peggy smile.

"What was that about?" Jessie asked as Peggy brought her to the back and looked at this bookcase

"You'll see" Peggy smiled and then it opened up to show a long corridor full up of people.

"This is awsome" Jessie whispered as they walked through and ended up at this lab where Howard Stark was setting up.

"Howard, I want you to meet Jessie Barnes. She is the friend Mr Rogers wished to be here" Peggy introduced
